  1. If only I'd had a look 7 topics down (D'oh...how embarrassing...having to reply to my own post) Peter Visit my car site Visit the UK's finest pet boarding establishment
  2. Hi all, I'm running Avon CR338 185/60 R14 82H's all round. I've heard that the graduates run Avon's (err...either 322's or 338's). Most tyre pressures for our cars seem to be 18 to 20, but I've heard that the Avons that the graudates use are grippier if run much higher (of course, that may be my imagination). Given that I'm currently strapped and will have to put up with these old hobnails for a while, what's the best pressure for my rubber (oooerrr Mrs)? 3. Dear all, I'm on the look out for wing mirrors. They need to be as long as possible from mounting point (i.e. the point that flushes with the bodywork) to mirror outside edge. Either they'll have an intrinsic single screw thread of 6mm or a hole that would allow a 6mm thread (even if with some adaptation). I've tried www.thefastone.co.uk (i.e. MPS) and the only 6mm threads they do are twin screw fittings. If they were MOT compliant that would be nice ;-). If I can't find these then I guess I'll have to cover the holes left by the windscreen in some other way and look for some stick on mirrors (:-o). I'm doing this in case I want to sell the car in the future and the buyer wants the windscreen back on OR I find that aeroscreening really isn't for me (i.e. I don't really want to widen the 6mm holes in the bodywork). [thinks] Hmmm...maybe a quick call to Westfield to find out what they use and how extortionately priced such items are [/thinks] Peter Peter Visit my car site Visit the UK's finest pet boarding establishment
  4. I need one cap with wingnut on the top of a twin Weber carb. Mine's a 40 but I'm guessing a 45 top cap or a single will fit. My other one's still there and it's secured with a wingnut. Anyone got one? Peter Visit my car site Visit the UK's finest pet boarding establishment
  5. Dogvet, ok, people told me there were 2 Cats but I didn't know they were both in "B" and I only picked up on the one described. Once I've done the video (and corrected my BTopenworld upload problem ☹️), I'll give you a shout - I'm bound to have picked you up (on camera, that is... 😳) as in one of the morning sessions I kept right and slow with the camera pointing backwards (decent excuse, huh ). 6. Although it was a bit of a blur, the one in my group ("B") had a dark grey/ graphite (?) tail panel with, I think, black rear wheel arches. I've got video, so I'll have to check. What colour was the other Caterham? (there was once insane driver, regularly overtook me round Gerrards, in a light Green machine that must have needed new left rear springs by the time he finished). Where do you "dogvet", dogvet? We've got a kennels so we're in a similar line of business (no, we're not like most kennels - see www.heavenlyz.com). 7. Funnily enough, it was also nice using my Westie to humiliate one of the 2 catering vans that were there (around Gerrards) :-).
