I am changing from steel wheels to Minators (Ital)
Is it ok to use the chrome domed wheels nuts that I use for the steels at the moment?
It is just that the CC online store seems to suggest that these nuts are specifically for the Ital fixing steel wheels. (would post a link if i knew how!! )
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Orange / black nose band(?) waiting at temporary lights at Osbaston on the A447, north of Hinckley.
Nice day for it

Thanks Mark
Does this mean that my bog standard Michelin 185/70R13 MXT tyres, which I assume were supplied with the car, would not be allowed? ☹️

The class 1 regs state...
Tyres to be listed in 2007 or 2008 MSA Technical
Regulations Competitors: Permitted Tyres [C(e)] List
1A only.
Any way of finding out which tyres are on this list?

My 8v vx (9k miles) does just the same - no / very low indicated oil pressure for 30 i(sh) seconds. Reading between 2 and 4 the rest of the time, even after significant beans!
Doesn't seem to be a problem with my engine. I have always assumed it is the sender, though I might try a different grade of oil at the next change, just to see the effect.

Sadly, us poor teachers ☹️ can't afford 'expensive' 7s.
Still, we do get long holidays for blatting

Anyone done the conversion recently to release an extra 25-30bhp from an 8v vx?
The sad demise of Bill Blydenstein removes the obvious expert.
Any recommendations?
What is the easiest ( and cheapest!) way to get the extra power?
Any thoughts??

Sprint/hillclimb suits
in Speed

Considering a proban suit for my first foray into sprinting. AWS racewear have some, but website says
IDEAL FOR HILL CLIMBS, SPRINTS OR NATIONAL RALLY (END DEC 08)
Does this imply that they will be no longer valid after this year?
Thanks
