DSL - As originally posted had exactly the same problem when I built a Fireblade 5 years ago. You need to fit Dynojet needles. After that no problem. James Whiting used to have the kit or try a local motor bike shop. They come with very easy to follow instructions.

You just can't help some people

Have the carbs been treated to Dynajet needles ? From what you say it sounds like there is not enogh fuel getting through. Also what pressure is the fuel being delivered to the carbs?

If this is Andrew's old car with the Goode silencer he should be OK unless Andrew knocked the stuffing out of it. My car was tested at sub 100dbls at Cadwell last month and it has done a few more track miles than Andrews car. Just make sure the engine is nice and warm before the test and lie about the maximum revs.
If really concerned get Goode to repack the can.

Dry sumped
Caterham yellow with purple nose cone and Carbon Fibre Wings
Goode Fabrications Silencer (98db)
Alloy radiator
Nova Reverse gearbox
Alcon 2-pot alloy front callipers (more effective than 4-pots)
Rear disk brake conversion
Quaife ATB LSD
Wide track front suspension
Barnby Wheels with Avon ACB10s
Leda alloy adjustable dampers with uprated springs
Roadsport full rollcage
Tillet composite seats
6-point Willans harnesses
Reprogrammable shift lights
Plumbed-in fire extinguisher
Battery master switch
Honeycomb alloy boot floor
5 ¾” Headlights
Digi Gear indicator
Jill Judd Tonneau
415kg with fuel and ready to go.
All the engine work on the car has been done by Paul Harvey.

The Register - Ah ! I thought that this would come back and haunt me ! After suffering all sorts of PDA malaises I have found one from 2005. Which I am embarrassed to say does not have the details of Andrews car on it. However if all those with Whiting Fireblades out there will e-mail the details of their cars to me I will update it and circulate it

No you cannot do a simple swop - being Honda every thing changes.
But before you get too smart about the 130bhp! have you driven a Fireblade ?

If anybody is interested I have a reasonably specc'd one for sale at slightly less money and will pay normal commission rates for a sucessful introduction.

Thanks Guys as ever a great deal of info.
Looks like I am too impatient.
Your right Geoff Honda's are much less troublesome.
O/T Kuhmo’s or Toyo’s for a 911?

Hi
I have a set of 16" Kuhmo's that I have run on my 964 and Boxster. Plenty of grip and they get nice and sticky when warmed up. Certainly prefer them to Conti's or SO1 Bridgestones for trackdays, the wear rates are a bit alarming but they are cheap enough to buy.
