  1. Hi all,

Wanted: four 6x13 Anthacites or black Minilites (De Dion)

If anyone has a spare set hanging about not doing anything, I'd be grateful for your consideration of letting them go, preferably sans tyres.

    Thanks!

  2. I use the following:

    CTEK Multi MXS3600 Battery Charger

    £44.99

My car had been sat in the garage and wouldn't start when I tried it yesterday. Ten mins with this on it and hey presto, fired in no time. A quick thrash and the battery was fully charged again. I'd certainly recommend it.

  3. Can someone please guide me to the correct throttle cable for a 150 sigma? I have looked in the CC store and have been unable to ID the correct part clearly. I just want a spare to carry about in case of a failure.

Alternatively, a cheaper location to purchase the same item would be nice!

    Thanks in advance!

  4. Incidentally, following John's advice I went to Caged directly and got a quote of £215 plus VAT for an FIA bar, which was cheaper than CC. I need one pretty swiftly though and unfortunately it took a few days to get in touch with them (no criticism of them at all) and they said the lead time was just over a week. If I had more time and could have been more patient, I'd have snapped their proverbial hand off.

  5. Richy,

I just had the very same question answered by Darren at the Caterham parts division. The second option is the kit, so includes the bar and the fixings, whereas the top one is the bar only, without bolts etc. The latter is cheaper as they encourage buyers to buy new fixings when they get the FIA bar.

    Hope that helps.

  6. Hi all,

I have discovered a good source for stainless nuts, bolts etc at low prices. You may be familiar but if not then I recommend the following. I have no link to them at all, but was just impressed by the price and next day service. Easy ordering system too.

I've just replaced a load of rusty engine bolts with high grade stainless ones for next to nothing.

  7. Brilliant, thanks for that mate. Really useful info! I've had a look at your site as well. I have got the non-X standard bar at the moment, so I'll definitely change it in due course. Caterham appear to be out of the FIA boot cover though, so not just yet.

    Cheers,

    Oli

  8. I'm only 5'10" and with lowered floors I think I'd be ok with the standard height bar. Thanks.

Is there anything else I ought to consider with regard to fitting? I understand that you have to undo the rear suspesion for an extra fitting point. I assume this is fairly easy for a reasonably mechanically minded person, although assumption is the mother of all...

  9. Hi folks,

I'm a relatively new 7 owner and am new to the club and forum too. I'm enjoying both the blatting and the chit chat on here very much, so I know I've made the right decision after years of wanting a 7.

I was just wondering about FIA roll bars for my Superlight 150 (58 plate). Does anyone know whether I should go for this one?

    Or this one?

And what is the difference? Sorry I don't yet know how to do linkies!

    Oheers,

    Oli
