  1. Looks like the car has now gone ☹️ Thanks for all the interest
  2. Thanks Petrolhead - very kind of you to offer. Can I come back to your offer after the weekend? Thanks again
  3. Afraid that I don't have any digital pictures. The colour isn't too dissimilar from the Renault Sport Blue (v dark metallic) and the front wings are bare carbon. It looks very classy. Just been home to charge the battery - he is a lovely looking car.
  4. Thanks Petrolhead, Like I said, I'm kind of torn as to selling it or not. I love the car but am struggling to justify keeping it when I have to store it at my parents, resulting in a 52 mile round trip for a blat. And having bought a flat in a ridiculously expensive area, I can't afford the cost of a garage nearby. But then, I don't know what I would buy instead. The Elise just doesn't do it for me and any other hot-hatch or the like would just be sacrilege. So thinking of building a garage in my yard and saving up for another Seven. But all ideas at the moment
  5. Now I'm concerned with this immobiliser talk. My battery is totally flat so needs a good charge. I planned to remove it, plug it into a charger and then pop it back in. Will this knacker the immobiliser?
  6. Since buying a flat (which doesn't have a garage), I'm struggling to justify keeping my Seven (stored 26 miles away). As such, I'm contemplating selling him. This car is totally mint. It's a 1.4SS (128bhp) with the 6spd box and was no.6 of 30 out of a limited edition of 1.4 Roadsports released by the factory. As discussed previously on Blatchat, this is probably the best Seven for the road that you can buy. The 1.4SS engine and 6spd box are a great combination. It's on an N-plate (N70 CAT) and is in dark metallic blue. Was built by Ratrace to a very high standard. Kit includes:- Carbon front wings, dash, mirrors and rear protectors Leather S-types with headrests Removeable Momo wheel Limited edition anthracite split rim alloys (Yoko AO51R's with loads of tread) Full weather kit and heated windscreen (but never been out in the rain) Wind deflectors 4 point harnesses Car cover Like I said above, this car is in exceptional condition and is a particularly nice looking car. It's never been tracked (just couldn't justify the cost) and has covered only 9800 miles. Regularly serviced by our local specialist and a particularly quick car (measured against the other 7's in the local area) No idea what to ask on price but seeing as I'm in no rush to sell, I'm asking £13k (based on condition and spec). Phone on 0191 239 9545 or 07931 338278 for details. I'm based in Newcastle, though the car's up in Northumberland Edited by - amosian on 11 Dec 2002 16:26:55
  7. Carl, Shame to see it go. Agree that weather has been truly awful up here. For any interested parties, I can vouch that this car is in fantastic condition. Ian

    Seats wobbly

A short while back, I was taking a large mate for a spin and when he got into the car, the seat made a cracking noise and seemed to go a bit loose and wobbly on the back support. Now the same thing has happened to the driver seat. Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks
  9. Will they give me a bit more power? How much (power and cost)? And will I have to cut a hole in the bonnet? I'm thinking that with these and a 4-1 exhaust I should get at least another 15bhp Ta smile.gif Edited by - amosian on 13 Mar 2002 13:32:13
  10. Arnie, Is it the Bumper & External Vinyl Cleaning Gel? Cheers
  11. My wings and dash don't seem to be as black and shiny as other peoples'. In fact, they are a little bit grey and dull. Any suggestions as to what to use to spruce them up a bit? Thanks
  12. I have noticed the depreciation too. Thing is, it's the people in the club that are causing it. They're the ones who are asking low prices for their cars. I mean, there are SS cars, about a year old, and people asking for £15k. When I was looking last year, such a car would have been about £17k. We're bringing it on ourselves
  13. Can anyone give a suggestion as to what tyre pressures I should be running on my 1.4SS? I will be doing road work only for the next couple of months. Ta
  14. Seems ridiculously cheap to me. Any prospective buyers should definitely take a look at this.
