  1. They can seem a bit tapperty, but the last time mine was tappety 'constantly' it turned out the vvc control bit was knackared. Im sure Dave Andrews has loads lying around as he takes that many off for solid cam conversion 😬 😬 😬 sacha
  2. Ok, Ok, £2800 Last time i promise, no more BTTT, ill have to sell the other half instead (could be the best of both worlds 😬 😬)
  3. Im very intrested, is there anychance you can send pictures to mightymetro at aol dot com Thank you sacha

  5. Stephen, have you any idea what would need doing on the sym jet to get it through an M.O.T. and whats the lowest you will take for it as id have to come down fom Leeds and rob the works van. I cant see me going back on the b roads 😬
  6. Hi Darren, didnt recieve any mail damn AOL. sacha
  7. I am looking at selling my engine as its time to buy a house, and a deposit is needed. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ The engine is still in my metro, and can be seen runnning/tested by any potential buyers. It is a 143 vvc engine which has been modified to prodice 183bhp @ 7500rpm on Emeralds rollers. This is in my metr, and im pretty sure in a Caterham application you would be looking at near on 200bhp. I will also throw in the loom that was made up for the emerald 143bhp vvc engine big valve head, fully ported and polished Piper vvc exhaust cam Emerald ECU incorporating the vvc control Jenvey DTH Throttle bodies All belts replaced 300 miles ago Pictures available etc and power graph Offers around £3000
  8. Cheers Oily *thumbup* *thumbup* Completely forgot about valve springs etc 😳 😳 😳 Thats my mind made up
  9. Ive decided to take the plunge and get a 1900 bottom end from Scholer, but im unsure what to do with the head? At the moment im running a ported, big valve vvc head (32.5mm inlet valve ,28.5mm exhaust valve) with piper exhaust cam. Throttle bodies and an Emerald. Now im still running with the vvc mechanisms and im unsure if to keep the vvc mechanism, or go for the proven 1444 cams? BTW, The engine at the moment with standard 1800 bottom end is turning out aronud 185-190bhp Basically, if i keep the vvc mechs i dont have any extra outlay, and if i go the 1444 cam rounte, i reckon im looking at £500 for the cams and conversion kit. What will the advantage and disadvantages of both be. I want the car to be able to do a reliable 6000-8000 miles a year, and still have good drivability Any opinions?
  10. BTT, as its monday 😬 😬 😬
  11. Last of my garage remains i promise Complete vvc head, was taken from a mgf vvc (143bhp) which had 18k on the clock. Had it to match up to the bottom end i sold earlier on in the year, and planned to keep it as a 'spare' but ongoing projects mean i need to sell. This was also seen running before i bought it (im not paranoid) I good opertunity for bigger valve head, and perhaps it might have some rarity value now 😳 Comes as a complete head, i.e. valves springs cams etcetc but does not come with inlet manifold. £300 o.n.o. Also a friend of mine is selling some Piper BP270 cams, brand new and in packaging. Hes going vvc so they are of no use to him anymore. Hes looking for £300 for them. Im not sure what the new price is so im not sure if its a good deal. It might take a few days to reply to any questions about the cams.
  12. Stick him in the intermidiates with me, let those 2 have the advance to themselves, they need it *tongue* *tongue*
  13. If Dave brings the BBQ and food, ill give him my second drivers slot 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 *thumbup* (TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY) must not touch any buttons must not touch any buttons must not touch any buttons if any buttons are pressed please return to fig 1,2 and 3 *tongue* Delbert, i can just imagine it now. Sir, did you not realise your tyres were bald well, i did an emergancy stop for a lepricorn in the road and look what happened 🙆🏻 🙆🏻
