About fondelli

  1. My last 7 was a 150 sigma. It obviously had more induction 'bark' Hopefully this will give me some of that back- albeit from the other side of the engine!
  2. I bought it from Caterham south
  3. Decision made- ordered today
  4. Can anyone tell me who makes this and what price it is? Are there alternatives? Thinking my sigma supersport sv is a bit 'quiet'
  5. Agree with using PPG- also Woolies trim supplies to 3mm thick self adhesive neoprene sheet which is ideal for lining the wings to stop star cracks.

For me on a lower power car the right gearing has a big impact on performance. My first 7 was a 150 sigma with a 5 speed box. To be honest it always felt a bit 'flat' My current car is a 140 supersport with a 6 speed and TBH it feels a lot better than the first. I know that a lot has been written about the 150 engine not making that power, but regardless of this, a 140 with a 6 speed is a very 'sweet' combination.
  7. Howard- thanks for the offer. I changed the lambda. The engine seems to be idling ok. Next test is a good drive to see how things are. I did notice that the old lambda was very black- which suggests mixture richness.
  8. Spoke to the factory- they confirmed my (and yours) suspicions. Got the exact same (genuine ford) part on ebay, so hopefully problem solved. Tip of old sensor was really sooty and black.
  9. Thanks for this. Does anyone have any documentation on how the ignition/injection system works? I would like to understand more if i can
  10. Just back from a few days fun in north wales. However my sigma supersport has developed a running issue. Here is what is happening: 1.Start from cold normal - cold start etc fine 2.Engine performs normally for a period of time 3. Engine then starts to misfire and get fluffy at very light throttle openings 4. When this happens the idle speed hunts between 500-2000 rpm and then stalls 5. If I stop and restart the cycle repeats. I have a funny feeling it might be a dodgy lambda probe? Hopefully someone has had something similar. I know that a lot of aftermarket mgt systems use the lambda probe at idle and then switch to the tps. Over to the experts
  11. Just doing a few checks before going on a trip to north wales. I think I have a leak from the passenger side brake caliper- puddle on garage floor. I have read a few other posts and this seems to be an issue. Any tips? I have contacted the factory to see what they say- car is just on 3 mth warranty limit. It's a 2010 SV. Better to find it now I suppose.
  12. exactly- I think that one of the reasons for using the CF guards is that they will cover chip damage on a wing- stops you having to re-paint. However if you are starting from scratch 3M film is the way to go
  13. Had them on my last car- which I got from Millwood. They fitted them using rivets before collection. Only point I would make is that you need to cover them with paint protection film to keep them good. They will mark and get shabby just like the normal wings.
  14. Had it done (on Caterham yellow) and it worked.
  15. Best thing to do is take the car (or a piece of it) to someone who mixes automotive paint and has a scanner. They can then scan the car and mix an exact match.
