  1. Thanks Rob, that makes sense to me. Now I see why I have to have the boot cover and bar together. Does the cover go on top of the triangular plate? Thanks

  4. Hi everyone, sorry to go over old ground again but I need some advice My wife bought me an FIA rollbar 2 years back for Xmas, and I've just got round to fitting it. I have reomved the old bar and boot cover and was about to drop the rear suspension out to fit the new bar when a glance in the build manual stopped me. It says that a new boot cover (which I haven't yet bought) should be fitted before the new bar is fitted. Now I assumed that the boot cover would fit after the bar had gone on as it would need to fit over the mounting plates to allow the tonneau to fit correctly. Is the manual right, or am I? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  10. Hi everyone, I hate to go over old ground again but I need some advice... My wife bought me an FIA rollbar 2 years back and I've just got round to fitting it. I've removed the old standard bar and was just about to drop the rear suspension out (mine's a DeDion) when a glance at the build manual stopped me in my tracks. It says that a new boot cover (which I haven't got yet) should be fitted before the rollbar. Now, I've removed the old cover, but assumed that the boot cover would go on after the new bar, as it would sit over the mounting plates. Is the manual right - should I fit the new boot cover first? Thanks

  14. Hi all, hope you can help. For the last year or so I have been having running problems on my 1700 Xflow. After a couple of miles driving the engine begins to get hesitant from tickover which gradually gets worse until the engine stops altogether and will not restart. From an occasional problem, this has now become permanent. After fiddling around in the garage (the engine will stop after about 30 mins on tickover) I noticed that the coil is red hot when the problem occurs. Last year, the plugs and HT leads were replaced. I have tried replacing the coil without success, and have now replaced the lumenition control unit (I definitely knackered this after fiddling with the wires and the coil). The replacement of the lumenition seems to have helped, but after a couple of test runs (one of about a mile - the other about 5) the problem is still there, it just seems to take longer to arrive. Anyone any ideas? Thanks
