  2. I have two PMs ahead of you Paul so if they don't work out or offer lower you can have 3rd dibs. I'm not far from you near Chippenham in Wilts. Mark
  3. I would assume imperial. I bought it to fit my S3 2001 Caterham 2nd hand 10 years ago. But never fitted it.
  4. Hi Dave, i'm afraid i have no idea. They fitted my S3 2001 K series caterham is that's any help
  5. Not sure if these are the original superlight wheels or not - I'm someone more informed than me can put me right. Consequently unsure of what they're worth really. In reasonably good condition as you can see from the pics some slight bubbling. Have old ZZR tyres which have done a fair few track day cycles - probably good for a no grip day! £500 or offers.
  6. Full cage in Orange by caged. A few scuffs in places but generally in good condition. £850 Can post or send more pictures on request.

  8. yes, good point, it is the tall version. thanks
  9. A very sad day that I'm putting my Caterham up for sale. Cost of living crises plus not using it enough means it has to go. It's a 2001 K series, originally a 1.6 Academy car but converted to Supersport spec after it's single race season with LSD and Apollo tank. I have owned the car for 10 years and 6 years ago put a 1.8k series engine in and upgraded the induction to the R500 magnesium roller barrels with an Emerald K6 ECU. Other spec as follows: Tillet seats 6 point drivers harness, 4 point passenger Carbon fibre dash Momo quick release steering wheel, I also have a smaller suede racing wheel Chassis is in excellent condition never driven on a salty road - or really in the winter. 13" Anthracite wheels 6" fronts, 8" rears, also have a second set of (i think) superlight wheels heat wrapped 4-1 exhaust with new (williams automobiles) repackable silencer Switchable oil/water temperature gauge. Heater De-dion rear axle with LSD. 23,000 miles showing on the clock but new engine, from another 7 has done around 10,000 FIA roll bar I think that's the main spec. Now the not so good parts.... The car is starting to show it's age and body work is in need of some TLC, nothing major just a few minor cuts and bruises! It also needs a new solenoid as sometimes doesn't fire first time and lastly the speedo doesn't work. I'm told it needs a new gear wheel but requires opening the gearbox. I'd planned to do it next time the gearbox was worked on but that hasn't been necessary yet. It's not an MOT fail and has passed the last 2 years without a working speedo. £14,000 The car drives immaculately but could do with some care and attention to bring it back to full glory and I have priced it accordingly for someone who wants to put the effort in or wants a cheaper perfectly good Caterham. The engine is a bit special with the R500 K series induction which you just can't get anymore. It's not overtuned and makes about 170/180 BHP. Any questions PM me, I can take more photos of anything requested. thanks Mark
  10. I have, finally, got the new (second hand, thanks Kal-El) engine installed with Titan roller barrels and emerald ECU. It's currently on the rollers and the ECU water temp is reading about 15 degrees higher than the dash guage. We're going to try a new sensor to see if the existing one is duff but has anyone experienced this before? - the tuner at the rolling road says it's unusual to have to calibrate water temp sensor readings. Given that the 2 sensors are pretty much next to each other this seems odd. Additionally we're not seeing any reading from the IAT sensor in the Titans, again going to try a new one to see if existing one is broken. I seem to remember reading somewhere something about setting up the IAT sensor with Titans, is there a trick we're missing? oh, it's 1.8 K series. cheers Mark
  11. Thanks for all your replies. A lot to think about! And decide upon. I've had a couple of offers of engines from my wanted post and I think it boils down to drop in a standard reconned 1.6 or 1.8 and then start the upgrade path from there almost as though it hadn't blown. Advantage of that is quality recon guarantee but same power. Or buy an already upgraded engine that's being sold complete. Obviously upgrade is already done then but it's always a bit of a reliability punt with a second hand engine. Cheers mark
