  3. Re: Engine Power Answer: Good question! It was built as a stronger mildly tuned standard spec engine (ported head, good quality pistons etc) it is due on the rolling road for a final tune and dyno measurement!

  5. 1700 Super Sprint for Sale 1993 "Q" Plate 1700 Super Sprint, Live Axle with 5 speed gearbox Circa 49k on the clock, 3 owners from new (myself for the last 9 years) MOT till May 2014 Taxed till Oct 2013 Spec as follows: - Colour is BRG with orange nose band FIA Roll Bar 4 Point Willians Harnesses Momo Steering Wheel Full Weather Gear, Half Hood and Shower Cap Side exit exhaust New engine built in 2010 with following spec: Steel Crank and Rods Accralite Pistons Steel Rocker Posts and Shaft Double Springs on Camshaft 234 Cam High capacity oil pump/New Water Pump/AP Clutch Lightened Flywheel New engine has now covered circa 3000 miles. The car has had all the usual live axle weaknesses addressed - Eg new diff, shimmed axle and overfilled, new springs and dampers all round. It has all the history throughout its life including original bill of sale from Caterham. The car is great fun to drive and the crossflow engine makes an amazing noise!   9. Hi Steve, It looks like it is designed to fit on the back of the car, not under, I assume the back Alu Panel would need a couple of bits taking out of it.. I have added another picture of the fitting onto the link for you to look at. Cheers Haz

From several years of ownership I have built up a small number of items that are filling space in my garage and would be far better on somebody's car or at least in their garage instead of mine New spare wheel rack for imperial S3 chassis - bolt fitting, never fitted, a couple of minor scuffs from storage - £30. New luggage rack, never used including strap - £40 ***SOLD*** 2x New standard crossflow oil pumps, age unknown, unboxed - £10 each (suggest that oil filters fitted to them there currently should not be used ) New Rose Jointed Live Axle A-Frame with appropriate bearing and fittings included - £110 What looks like a complete crossflow oil cooler assembly (Cooler, Fittings, Sandwich Plate and 2x sets of hoses - 1 set braided and 1x set rubber) - £80 Used original crossflow flywheel, age and usage unknown - £5 Crossflow duplex timing gear, looks like it hasn't had much use, but history unknown - £10 **SOLD** Used Spare wheel attaching adaptor and bolt - £5 Original (1993 vintage) chrome headlamp bowls and wipac lens - Bowls are a bit rusty but lenses look ok - £5 for the pair.. Used wipers - Free to a good home! Details on gearbox to follow when it gets identified.... Hi there, Local electrical motor factors is the way to go, my car is a 1993 and the original unit lasted 47k Put a new cheapish (£60) unit with 60A output on (I took the original unit into the shop) about 2 years / 3000 miles ago - no probs so far. I also have heatwrap on the exhaust to keep temps down near the back of the unit. Sorry to hear about premature failures, I assume you have contacted CC to discuss the short unit life? Ta Haz

  17. Thanks Marc, I think they will need rejetting as the engine has been updated from standard spec and there is also a new exhaust to allow for the increased potential. Also I am keen to know what the final power/torque figures are (for interest only you understand ) Cheers Haz
  18. As the title suggests chaps Done the 1500 mile running in phase on the new xflow lump and I am now after a webber expert to tune and measure. Suggests on a postcard to the usual BC address! Cheers MarkH

  21. Caught sight of somebody zooming round the Aerospace roundabout while I was sat eating my breakfast at the Holiday Inn! Nice day to be out in it!
  22. Spring is here - and all the jobs I have been ignoring over winter need looking at 😳 Starting with the leaking vintage radiator! Does anybody have an original non leaking rad in the garage following a bout of upgradeitus?!? Cheers Mark
