  1. Thanks very much to you both. Yes, it is Andrew's old car. I didn't realise that the Goode can was already packed so this is good news as it sounds like the car will pass the static 101dB test. The 87dB driveby is another question but at least I now know that we have a chance . More importantly Cadwell Park's 105dB limit for June looks like a slam dunk!
  2. I am booked on a trackday at Bedford with a colleague who has just bought a Caterham Fireblade but he is, unfortunately, having great difficulty getting any sort of direction on the likelihood of him passing the noise thresholds (101dB static/87dB driveby). Bedford is a little too far away for a quick drive down for a noise test and none of the more local tracks do the driveby test as their limits are based only on the static test. Does anyone out there know someone/have experience/know themselves what Fireblades generally come out at on the noise tests, allowing for variability due to ambient conditions. If it is likely to fail one or other of the tests, does packing the silencer usually work and is this an easy job? I have heard that a gentleman called Paul Thompson has a Fireblade and may well have addressed these issues already. If anyone knows him and can alert him to this posting, I would be very grateful. Many thanks for your help
