  1. Nottingham road, gave you a wave, blue Peugeot Estate. Typical, best weekend of the year and SWMBO leaves me with our daughter while she's in Dublin watching the Tigers.
  2. Apparently car had just been collected from CC Mids, very nice. Also 3 or 4 on track, including Simon's blue graduate car + a stonking GT6, wish mine had gone like that.
  3. Thanks all, Excellent feedback and advice. I now know what an IACV is/does, I'll check it out this weekend. Mick
  4. When first started from cold my Superlight is hunting between 500 - 2000 rpm and occasionaly stalls. Once up to normal temp she run fine with a stable idle speed. Any ideas? Mick

    Bench seat

I've got a bench seat & squabs from an 89 De-dion, not sure if compatible with live axle car. All in good order, some minor wear from seatbelt fixings. Let me know if your interested.
  6. Please add me to the list of interested parties, if poss. Mick

It's a 1990 De-dion, certainly not monster powered, not yet anyway. Sounds like 185/70/R13's all round then.

Struggling to find any 205/60/R13's. Even rang Yokohama direct, the last delivery they made to a retailer in the UK was last August ! The front tyres are 185/70 R13's, which seem to be readily available from GP ect. My XFlow is pretty standard other than rear tyre size. As rolling radius is simmilar between the two sizes would fitting 185's front and back give me any problems ? Otherwise are there any other tyre reccomendations, road use only. Thanks for the replies so far, Mick

George Polley is out of 205/60/R13's. Any other reccomended suppliers out there ?
  10. Thanks Graham, 22/24 are the valve to rocker clearances for a standard cam. I'm actualy after a measurment for valve lift, how far the valve itself travels from it's seated to fully open position. Given this measurement for both inlet and exhaust valves would, I think, help me confirm the cam I have fitted. Hence I would know the valve clearances to set for my engine. Mick.
  11. Just thought, Whats the measured valve lift for a standard Caterham Supersprint cam ?
  12. The Kent Cams guide I have gives valve lift assuming the use of a standard 1.52:1 rocker ratio. Example specs listed: Cam Type Power Band Valve Lift Clearance RPM Inlet/Exhaust Inlet/Exhaust BCF3 2500 - 7000 .412/.412 .016/.016 234 2000 - 7200 .423/.421 .022/.024 244 3000 - 8000 .477/.445 .022/.024 A2 3000 - 7000 .349/.347 .020/.022 3FY 2500 - 7000 .389/.387 .012/.014
