Sorry, I mean an FIA bar, rather than the full cage, which is what I currently have.
-
Hi Paul - many thanks. I would certainly be interested to see some photos is you have some you could share.
Cheers,
Alex

Folks - I am in the process of slowly making my Supersport race car more road focused. I am keen to see if anyone has a standard roll-bar (FIA spec) and leather seats they might be interested in selling.
Cheers,
Alex -
Spotted pottering at a respectable pace through Hertford at about 1pm on Monday.

I was going the other way in a black Vanquish and did wave, but you almost certainly wouldnt have seen....hope you had fun.

Not sure about you, but I was utterly soaked by the time I got to Birmingham and the weather improved a bit!
-
I was in the gold 7 with an aeroscreen heading the other way and getting utterly drenched. Shame as the drive there very early was just fantastic.
-
We saw you a few times Jon. Hatfield and then the M25 stuck in traffic by the M3. I then saw you again just off the A3 later in the afternoon. Looked like fun.

A great day for 7 spotting!
a yellow 7 with a black stripe heading from Hatfield...saw twice more, on the M25 and then near Guildford
a red 7 with silver stripe heading from Hatfield towards Hertford
finally a green 7 in the carpark at Brooklands
i was so jealous of you all whilst sat in my volvo with the 4 rug rats!!!!

....along with a handful of classic Loti, including some rather lovely Lotus 11's

I didn't know there were any other 7 owners in Hertford? I feared I was the only one, although the spotted wasn't me ☹️
-
...spotted by my kids who shouted it's your racing car daddy. Was very jealous of you when I am spending my week driving an XC90 with a roofbox! 😬

Lovely things...would love to try one. It is probably the only car I would swap my E34 M5 for!
-
Proper flat floor set-up at DPR...turned the car from fun, to fantastic and all for £300. After that, some driver tuition...I thought I knew how to drive, but I had no idea really 😬
-
You are welcome to borrow mine from Hertford if you can't sort anything more local out
Cheers,
Alex

Moving slowly with a Ferrari Spyder (360 I think) behind.

A dark green and a lime green 7 going very slowly in convoy behind a horse box just outside Barkway. Both drivers had helmets on, which I assume was to keep flying horse poo out of faces :E

6000 miles My first set are almost on the wear markers after less than 300 miles 😬....ok, so that is 2 x trackdays, 1 x 20 minute qualifying and 2 x 20 minute races 😬
As the guys here have said 18 psi all around will be fine and give you 20 - 12psi hot, depending on how hard you work them. If you are getting 6000 miles from a set I think you are doing really, really well
-
Heading out of town as I was heading back in...lovely day for it 😬

Ah, no they're the old classic 'minilite' type.

Thanks anyway Phil.
Fuse Box - Refitting after fitting a heater
in TechTalk
Posted
Folks, we fitted a heater to my sigma yesterday and came to put the fuse box back last night and cant see how it mounts back under the scuttle as the original fixings place it in front of the air vents. Has anyone navigated this issue at all before?
Cheers,
Alex
