  1. now with some pics on the webshots website: http://community.webshots.com/myphotos?action=viewAllPhotos&albumID=295251780 If this link doesn't work - then just go to webshots.com and search for "Lotus Elise 135 & Caterham 7". I doubt there will be many albumns called that. NB. this is priced very competitively for a car in such good nick with low mileage and the pokier engine.
  2. £16,000 Standard S2 135 Sport. Dark Blue mettalic (minerva)with blue long roof. 12,000 miles with full Lotus service history I bought the car from SGT in March this year and have had 6 wonderful months with it. There should be 6 months remaining SGT warranty - need to check that this is transferable. All standard 135 Sport options - vented & drilled discs, Black leather seats, carpets, factory tuned 135 bhp engine, close ratio 5 speed g/box. 8 disc cd changer Sony stereo, Radio reciever plate (so you can actually use the radio) passenger footrest, driving lamps. Has been faultlessly reliable and only driven at weekends. Interior is very clean and the paintwork is perfect bar 2 tiny stone chips to the front (magnifying glass required) pics to follow shortly
  3. cheers fellas any other views welcome doesn't have to be a long answer a simple yes or no if you'd consider Dunlops would be great ta
  4. For mainly road use on a performance tin top e.g. M3, 911 etc. Just trying to understand whether the brand still has any credibility amongst petrolheads and those 'in the know' (i.e. Blatchatters) Any views would be really helpful (it's for a work thing). thanks in advance Kristian
  5. yep - the triple pass rad was the best upgrade I ever made.
  6. Zetec Cam Timing Question Hi Learned Ones, I'm having problems getting my Elan +2 Zetec to run smoothly and idle. Having checked the idle air opening and balance of TB's, Throttle Pot Calibration and using an Emerald Map that I'm told works well on similar set-ups, I'm now suspicious of the Cam timing, even though I've not touched it. The engine is as supplied by Spyder, a re-conned 2.0L Zetec, but they will have replaced the Water Pump and so I'm suspicious that the cam timing may have been messed up when the belt was slackened. Am I correct in thinking that if I take off the cam cover and align the crank for TDC (using a dial gauge) that the cam alignment notches should align horizontally if all is correct? If not, is correction as simple as making sure these are horizontal with a locking bar (250x40x5mm) when the crank is at TDC? Thanks in anticipation, Niall. PS, I was originally going to post this on Blatchat as there's a lot of learned Zetec folks on there, however they seemed to have locked posting to members only. If anyone could oblige I'd be grateful !
  7. Hi John, I got your cheque - thanks My wife has twice forgotten to send your calipers but she promised me she'd get them off today. Obviously let me know if you haven't received them in a day or two. cheers Kristian
