Hi, I’ve just tried to take my Seven out for a Blast last one before christmas! I pushed her out of my garage, got her all warmed up then tried to put her into gear, she made a terrible noise lots of grinding and I could not get her into any gear ! Dose anybody have any ideas about what might have gone wrong with my car? Has the Clutch/gearbox failed? Has anybody else had the same sort of thing after there car has been off the road for three months? The Clutch seemed to be ok to press down but I don’t know if it was disengaging the drive. Hi Alex, Thanks for the advice, Yes the ignition light worked properly before. The light is off when the engine is off and on when the engine is running ! Any ideas where to start to look for the earthing problem, would it be worth checking to see if there is any current flow from the alternator ? Thanks Kevin

Hi, Can any body help ? I have just changed the Alternator on my Seven and the ignition light is constantly on. Before I change, the ignition light would go out after I had started the car but glow brighter the higher revs the engine was turning over at. All the help I received said “I needed a new Alternator” but now I have fitted it, the problem seems worse dose anybody have any ideas in what might be wrong ? Thanks Kevin

Thank you all for the help and advice. I take a look at the alternator and clean the connection, if that dosen't fix it, I'll get a new alternator. Kevin

Hi, Can somebody point me the right direction? I am having trouble with the ignition warning light on the dash. My problem is, once I have started my car the ignition light goes out, when the car is idling, but if I rev the engine the light comes back on and glows brighter with the more rev applied. I have a 1991 Ford x/flow engine it's not given me any trouble before and has just passed its MOT for this Year with out a hitch. Has anybody had a similar problem if so what was the fix.
