carefully remove the rivnuts, 'araldite' a small piece of ali behind the hole, fill the hole on the outside with flexible body filler and finally paint (spray) to finish

I am about to fit cycle wings instead of clamshells, one question, when I fit the wing stay to the rear of the stub axle the thread from the halfshaft doesn't reach the nylon part of the nyloc nut (by quite a long way).....what am I supposed to do..??????? thks in advance
