Best to go for smaller diameter wheels, I had 8 years on HPC rims and yoko A539's on my 95 k series, now my 310 sigma on 13 inch apollos with 185/60/13 Nankang NS2r in street compound, as they say chalk and cheese. The HPC is a nice look, but the difference is well worth it. 13 inch gives you more tyres to choose I think. Nankang was unknown to me, just heard of it from a mate who runs them on some track cars only. They are good value to.

I have been using the very well priced Nankang ns2r in 185/60/13 in street compound, done about 500 mikes so far, good choice so far for a trackday/ road tyre. Around half the price of others and so far so good. I was unsure, but many people rate them as a good choice.

When rolling up my hood to fit in the hood bag, sbfs type, it's not possible to put it in the bag without creasing the windows..... So as with my old car from 1998 I am getting a local trimmer to add a zip into the end so I can fit in the bag without this issue... Why does no one make a bag like this???

Nice to see I wasn't the only nutter out, my face was like a block of ice. My 310 is a blast, sunny and cold, but still went out without the sidescreens, still smiling..

Will be different to the vvc one, try a local engineering company to weld yours up??

Redline components in caterham, ask for Mick, they will have, cheaper than Caterham Cars, sensible postage costs also .

Try nankang ns2r tyres, I have them on my 310, very good value, lots of sizes to choose from, you will probably want street compound, I have 6x13 rims with 185 60 13 all round, can be a little easy to lite up the rears until warmed up.... Drove 60 plus miles yesterday in the cold but dry, all good. Seem to be an up and coming tyre in various car clubs, Best of luck

Have just got 185/60/13 xl 180 street compound all round on my newly upgraded 310, only done 100 miles or so, mainly motorway, but oh so much better than my old avon zv3. Not only quiter, but more comfy and more grippy, had a little rain and no drama's. Time will tell.
