Hi Phil
Give them a ring, some ECU's are locked by Caterham and you will also need a comms port wired into the ECU .

Thanks John will give you a call

Is the crank sensor / plug/ wireing ok, and make sure that any HT leads do not come close to the crank sensor and wireing.

Two things to check....Did you dismantle the fuel regulator from the fuel rail, or get any dirt into it, and check the grey multi pin plug under the throttle bodies for any pushed back pins or broken wires.
Try a squirt or Easystart or similar into the injection, if it now runs for a second the problem must be fuel related.
The injectors should squirt several times whilst cranking.

Plugs should be ok....Sounds electrical. ☹️
Check tightness of big red battery cable from starter to kill switch and from switch to battery, with battery disconnected. Paul had a problem with this.

Hi Phil
You say it was ok last weekend, did anything change, did you wash the car or refill with petrol 🤔

Hi Phil
I use 250/140 and still run the rears 3-4 clicks from full soft. 225 fronts for a K seem the norm.

Could the plug leads be in the wrong position ?...failing that try a squirt of Easystart into the induction, if it then runs it must be fuel related.
-
Crank sensor, plug, or wiring wet or damaged....The sensor tells the spark plugs when to spark.

Just try removing the stud, degreasing the thread with some spray, and refitting with plenty of thread lock. If the leak was from the stud ( tapped hole) this should seal it. *wink*

When it does not fire up do you hear the fuel pump priming 🤔 Could be a faulty connection to the roll over switch or fuel pmp relay.
-
The Pace system as supplied by SBD uses a three stage pump, two scavenge and one for pressure. The Caterham system uses the original VX pressure pump with a single stage Titan scavenge.

Try a complete gearbox oil change.....Redline MTL GL4 works well
-
Not sure, but throttle balance is more sensitive at lower speeds.
-
Just make sure that the cable from the crank sensor does not run close to the HT cable from the coil pack, and then check the balance of the throttle bodies .

Good to see you Stephen...Just returning from my sister, helping with 2cv 24hr race preparation .
B1040 from St Ives, a great drivers road

Do you have a fuel pump cut out/roll over switch on the scuttle?
Corrosion in the switch or connector on the bottom of the switch will disable the fuel pump via the pump relay.
I had this intermittent problem and completely removed the switch and cable back to the relay as the ECU also disables the pump as Paul describes.

There is a mod for the baffle plate mounted in the cam cover. Oil gets thrown up from the crankcase breather tube that is connected to the cam cover and sits on top of the baffle and then gets sucked into the induction plenum and burnt.
Search on Tech Talk or SBD web site.

Level is best but you need 70mm clearance under the sump for road driving
