  1. Just a thought - and I've just sold mine (with a rollcage) after quite a time advertising. Why don't you try rephotographing and advertising without the petty strut and foam padding on the rollbar. If you look at all the ads on pistonheads/autotrader etc non-track use is used as a positive selling point. You might just appeal to a wider, more conservative audience. That's what I was going to do just before someone with specific track interest bought the car. John Fossey J 7 SVN Blue and Silver
  2. For sale a standard (non FIA) roll bar. Bought it used a week ago to modify my car back to standard but then managed to sell the car with a rollcage - so surplus to requirements. To fit a 1998 vehicle Was bright yellow but I've resprayed to standard satin black. Bought for £60 inc P+P. So any sort of offer around there will do - I'll be very, very flexible. 3. If he can push to just over £13k my roadsports still for sale, I've recently put it back onto Pistonheads and it's advertised on the for sale section at £13,600 but of course that negotiable (a bit) . Currently has a roadsport rollcage on it but that's easily replaced for a standard rollbar if required - I'm currently trying to source a standard bar to modify it back myself. Thought I was going to do a few trackdays but small children intervened. Otherwise it's a pretty standard car - no trick suspension or engine mods. Live in Banbury but work in MK - Tongwell. 4. Oh so close! Had it sold and then the buyer was made redundant last Wed, just before being due to pick it up on Sat. Shame for me and a real b****** for him as he gets hit for around £1k early redemption charges as he had a loan sorted so a double kick when he's down ☹️. So relisted here. 1998 1.8 VVC Roadsport 150hp and 0-60 in 4.7s Viper blue with silver stripe, Built by Caterham Midlands, 15" Prisoner alloys with CR500s (spare has the standard Michelin), 5 speed gearbox Full roadsport roll cage and wheel intrusion bar - but hasn't been tracked since fitting Leather s-type seats, Four point harnesses for both seats Battery cut off switch, Push button start. Full weather gear with hood bag. Heater "7" grille with black mesh grille behind. 8200 miles. Only 1 previous owner Full service and MOT history. All bills from 2000 Personalised plate J7 SVN included Ideal touring and occasional track car - comfortable, enough power, but nothing trick so easy maintenance. So relisted with a revised price of £13,600 - also advertised on Pistonheads of you want to see photos - it's a really striking looking car! Lack of use means I'm looking for a 2+2 classic so I can use with the family - there's a thread on choice if you're interested. Contact John 07776 171091, 01295 720986 (eve), or email. Based in. 5. I know the ads about a month old but do you still have the rollbar and boot cover available? Regards John John Fossey J 7 SVN Blue and Silver
  6. S7 SLR? on a trailer heading north in a convoy with a BJ trailer. Going somewhere infinitely better than my pointless trip to Stuttgart. John Fossey J 7 SVN Blue and Silver
  7. Must be some demand out there. 4 x 195/50 15" Michelin Pilots (off of Prisoner alloys) Have around 8000 miles of wear so still plenty of life in them No uneven wear or kerbing. Say £80 Buyer collects from north Oxfordshire
  8. I presume these will fit 15" Prisoner Alloys. If so and they're in good nick i.e. road legal for some time, I'll take them. Where abouts are you? E-mail me off line if that's ok. John
  9. Green/Yellow Y13???. At about 8:00.
  10. Guy, spotted in central Banbury at 11:00 on Sunday
  11. Cheers guys. I'm going for the path of least resistance and expense and fitting as is.
  12. I've just aquired a used roadsport roll cage and it has the requisite signs of use in that it has minor scratches and wear marks. So; Do I respray black - if so can anyone recommend an off the shelf match for the current black. How well does respraying hold up to wear e.g. weather gear? Do I powder coat and how much would it cost? Do I just leave it and add "character" John
  13. Charles, many thanks for the link - exactly what I was looking for. Now all I need is a garage as clean and devoid of rubbish as yours appears to be!
  14. Sorry to hijack the thread just a little but as I've just bought a roll cage i'm interested in fitment rather than removal. Has anyone got / willing to take close ups of the front section fitment that they could send to me for reference so I'm not working blind? Or alternatively is there anyone close to Banbury that has a roadsport cage fitted and I could come and have a look. TVM John
  15. Just bought one (53034) from Bedford Battery today - £34.33 + VAT
