  3. Appreciate your comments, but it's so long since I sold anything on Ebay, I couldn't be bothered to list it - yet. Just thought I'd try here first if anyone fancied what may be a bargain!

  9. I now believe the nosecone may fit pre-'96 cars, as some changes were made then. With apologies to those who live a distance away, I think it best that someone who is able to come and try it does so.

  11. Don't tell me, you're 55 now......
  12. Pentax P30t 35mm SLR with 28-85mm and 70-210mm zoom lenses. All in working order complete with camera bag. Failing eyesight means my father can longer make use of this any more, so if anyone would like to do some 35mm photography, no reasonable offer refused. John 07985 399454
  13. Having carefully followed your instructions for resetting the immobiliser, I am pleased to say that the fuel pump proceeded to make all the right noises (so the immobiliser does shut fuel off), the spark has appeared, and the car has fired up just like normal (this car's always been a good starter). So, many thanks for your help and advice. Just got to get the fluid levels sorted and job's a good 'un - hopefully.....
  14. Sorry, omitted to say that the engine cranks over OK. Issue seems to be no fuel coming through the pipe, and having checked there doesn't appear to be a spark, either. Fuses all appear OK. Will try to check fuel pump wiring, although I can't ever recollect hearing much of a noise from it when starting the car, anyway.
  15. Thanks for that. Inertia switch is fine. Have tried unsetting and setting immobiliser a few times to no effect. I am assuming that it didn't like having the battery disconnected all day, and has shut down the fuel and maybe iginition, but am not sure if that is how the immobiilser system works.
