I am considering converting from flares to cycles. To keep costs down does anyone have cycles suitable for 13" wheels, ideally in BRG. Not too fussed over condition as I want to see how the car looks with cycles and the holes where the flares used to be attached. Thanks X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  7. It was a combination of loose clips where the lower fascia meets the centre console and the adjustable steering column. Quite how he fixed loose clips I'm not sure but the panel was previously flexible with light prodding applied, it is now rock solid, so I wonder whether he has packed something behind the trim and then tightened the fastenings. (if that makes sense) Unfortunately the removal of this rattle/creak has highlighted all the other minor ones in the cabin 🙆🏻 but I will put up with it and enjoy the handling and performance instead X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  8. It's gone 😬 Took the car to GK Seat today, the technician took the problem seriously and manged to pinpoint the problem and actually fix it. So a big to GK Seat in Derby and fingerscrossed that it wont come back as has been suggested by other posters. X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  9. Have checked ashtray and it is empty The car is now booked in to the local Seat dealer to let them have a crack at the problem. Fingers crossed. X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  10. I have just taken delivery of my latest company car Seat Leon TDi FR 150. Surprisingly good car. However I cannot hear myself think due to a rattle of biblical proportions from the lower dash/centre console. Any Leon owners out there had similar? Thanks X/Flow and LOUD!!!

  13. Thanks for all the help offered, particularly Nigel and Brent 😬 I have fixed it, turns out that the gear lever had unsrewed itself from the bracket on the tunnel. This was causing all the play and poor gear selection. Simple clean up and reattach job, even I could do it . Only annoyacne is that CC midlands didn't spot this when I complained of difficulty n selecting reverse, instead replacing the clutch cable to try and solve the problem X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  14. Brent *thumbup*That sounds like it might be required, can you "put it on ice" for me. I'll post on here when I have had a look. Cheers X/Flow and LOUD!!!
  15. BTT I am going to have a look at this problem this weekend. What is the best method to get to the problem? Do I get underneath the car or is the linkage accessible from the tunnel (this would appear to require drilling of rivets) I think I am wading slowly out of my depth... X/Flow and LOUD!!!
