  1. As per Subject really, someone is interested in my car, but he is a bit too lanky - 6'3". It is a standard long cockpit with the normal seats (not a bench), would Tillets or the like help, can you extend the pedal box (it is an 89 XFLow with Live axle if that makes a difference) Any help would be gratefully recieved.
  2. Yep, car is still for sale at the moment, I don't know if I got your request for pics, I have had hundreds, do people just collect photos of other peoples cars ?? Will happily send them to you though MB. Send me an email direct - huttlancasterATaolDOTcom mention the Molecular Bob bit and that will help ! A lot of interest from overseas and local, but no sale just yet .
  3. Send me your email address and I can send you as many as you want, i have loads.
  4. Yep, and I have put most of those on in the last 6 months !
  5. 1989 Q reg, 1700cc supersprint spec engine, Sprint Chassis, Long Chassis, 4 speed, Live Axle, LSD, FIA rollbar, Polished ally with BRG clamshells, 1600 miles from new, 2 owners, full wet weather gear inc doors, tonneau, roof, sticks and bag, fully refurned 700 miles ago and recent Ratrace spanner check and new Caterham sump. Exceptional condition as would be expected by the milage which is genuine. Sale due to emigration. £7000 - offers considered, but please do not use this thread as a price discussion. Many photos are available, the car is in South Herts at the junction of the M25 and M1. Call me on 01923 856658
  6. As I will soon be leaving the sunny shores for good, I need to sell my Big Bertha before Jan 7th !! She is an E Class estate (W124 model - the old boxy one), it is a 1986 D Reg, Blue, 2.o litre auto. 160,000 on the clock, we have owned since 80,000 and we have looked after it wel, but not as well as the previous owner who was minted and had it done at main dealer, we have had it serviced at MB Specialists (excellent but pricey) until about a year ago,whe we started taking it to the local garage. It is a great car, Blue in colour, 7 seater, grey Leather seats and electric sunroof, but the front N/S wheel arch is rusty (the o/s one has just been replaced thanks to some poor parking by some mad woman in a shop that ran into the side of my SO). Also some rust around the other arches and one of the side rubbing strips is coming off. It is a little smoky, but it is only really on start up and it goes away, auto is good if you treat it gently and it will sit on 90 all day when you are touring the autoroutes ! It has roof bars and will swallow a whale of luggage.Could easily take 3 and 3 bikes without using the roof, with roof bars on 5 inside in comfort, 4 on the roof and one on the back. It is a beaut. Basically it is a big, comfy lovely car, that we have owned for years and that my wife has done 95% of the driving in. So what do I want for it?? Well that depends on how much of a hurry someone is in for it. If they can wait until the 6th January, then the price is certainly lower than it would be if they wanted it next week. I reckon it is worth IRO say £1500, but who knows. If someone comes to me with a suggestion, I will listen !! It is MOT's until April and will have 6 months tax on from the end of this month. It is a honest and reliable (touch wood) car, nothing fancy, but it will do galactic milages without raising a sweat. Let me know if any of you bods are interested. I don't want to sell it yet, because we need it, but as I said, if someone can wait, then the price will reflect this flexibility !
  7. Hurrah !!! Thanks for the POSITIVE feedback guys. Joseph, remember this is an OPEN forum, that means that what you right here becomes gospel if you are not careful, "the one that got away" is a pub story, not for a sales forum. Apology accepted. It has all made me think though that it is worth considerably more to me than that sort of money, if I can;t get a reasonable amount, then I'll take it with me. Molecular Bob, email with pics has been sent. Joseph, do you seriously want photos ? If so, let me know OFFLINE.
  8. There is always some arse that is desperate for money and will accept anything.I will not, if you are interested, then do me a favour and stop using my sales thread as a discussion about the cheapest cars you have ever seen. I also could have spent less, but wanted the best one that i could find which is what I have got and what I am selling. If you would like to discuss the downslide of Seven prices then do it somewhere else. If we want to talk down the value of our cars, then you are doing everyone a disservice. Sevens are one of those cars that have always held there value well, you blokes are doing a great job of destroying car values. Well done. Now do me a favour and go and buy a Focus. Anyone serious about buying a Seven, drop me a line.
  9. Still here, whilst £5000 is a little low, I am flexible on that price. I need to get a happy home for her asap. I have a ton of photos if interested. Thanks
  10. 4 point Luke harnesses also. I thought these things were in demand. If the price is a problem, let me know.
  11. The guy that built it bought a Porsche when he finshed the build, he enjoyed building the car more than driving her. She has flared wings (clamshells) and is a Q plater.
  12. Just spent nearly a grand at Ratrace getting it all checked out as well, including new Caterham sump...... Anyone ??
  13. 1989 1700cc XFlow Sprint with 40DCOE's, long cockpit, Live axle, 4 speed, polished ally and green wings, full weather gear, one previous owner, stunning condition - 1600 miles from new !! Complete re-furb less than 2 years (500miles ago). Goes incredibly well, really lovely car. Heaps of MOT and recent new tyres. Return to Australia and disgusting cost to export it (that and I can;t sell my house) forces sale. Looking for around £7500. Based in Radlett, South Herts - 5 mins from M25 / M1 junction. I'll put the kettle on!
