  1. Thanks for your replies. There is no part number on my manifold and I do not know the source. It is 4.5 inches long (from face to face). I am happy to have the air filters out of the bonnet. My problem is that I have had to cut a large hole in the top and side rather than just the side for clearance. Even then the filters would not fit, so I have been running without filters for a few years. (The engine was in remarkably good shape on teardown- must be our clean air!) I have a new bonnet and hoped to make a smaller hole, but still run air filters. Regards Hugh
  2. I have a 1969 S3 with the Kent engine and twin Webers. My current intake manifold is rather long and offset upwards to clear the side rail, which makes for a large hole in the bonnet. Rumour has it that a shorter manifold was made. Can anyone confirm this and if so, are they available anywhere? Thanks, Hugh
