    Roadsport or R300?

Richard, Thanks for the invite but unfortnately I am busy on wednesday night. I have already attended a 'Merseyside & District' meeting which was a source of great advice and meets vey close to where I live. The reason for my post is that I will be sending Caterham my next second deposit in the next couple of weeks and I am just making sure that a R300 is the right choice over a very slightly cheaper well specced Roadsport. Roadsport or R300?

I am about to order a new self build Seven but I am still in two minds on what to buy. My initial budget was for a Roadsport but by the time I have gone through the options list (6 speed, uprated brakes, 140bhp, etc) the price is not that different to a R300. I would be grateful for any advice and thoughts (especially from R300 owners). If I went for the R300 do I need to order the LSD? I will be mainly using my Seven on the road with just a couple of Track days each year. Thanks

    Ordering car

After loads of helpful advice on whether to go for a starter kit or full kit I have decided to go for the full kit and have ordered a R300 in Aztec Orange. I had planned to order a Roadsport but after options/upgrades the cost wasn't that different to the R300. I would appreciate any advice on whether I should order the Carbon Firbe wings and nose and if yes whether I should have the wings painted. My preference is to leave them bare. Are there any essential options I should order (I have ordered the LSD). Harrie

    starter kit or not

Have you got details of the next MADS meet (where, when, time)? I think I will try to come along. Thanks, Harrie

    starter kit or not

Thanks for all the prompt responses. The reason I have been thinking about the Starter Kit route is because I am not in a desperate rush to finish the car (I am sure this will change once I start building!). I was originally working towards buying a complete car in the summer of 2004 (mainly down to finances) but with the starter kit option, I could start my build in April 2003. With the starter kit option (I want to have a new reg rather than a 'Q') can I specify upgrades to the packs? ie. wide track suspension, carbon fibre dash, etc or am I stuck with the standard specs for the packs? Thanks

    starter kit or not

I have decided to buy a caterham and decided to go the route of a starter kit and buying kit as I go along on my build. I plan to do the build over next year. Are there any disadvantages to taking this approach? I plan to do a few track days but mainly use it on the road so are there any recommendations on specific options I should buy?
