  1. Thanks very much to all who helped...food for thought!
  2. Hi...Sorry but Mike is fetching them next weekend...if he doesn't arrive then you can have them. Andrew
  3. I was looking at the performance upgrades section...£795 inc ventilated disks!
  4. tried to sell them to no avail...now just want rid as they are in the way!! 3 14" ZV 1's...one brand new, 2 slight wear (4000 miles on front) in Sheffield...free if you fetch them from Dronfield (next to Sheffield!!)
  5. Hi I've got standard brakes on my supersport and was thinking about upgrading...had a bit of fade on my last track day! Anyone got any advice...caterham have 4 pots for £795 and I have seen the ones in low flying from James Whiting for ££485 + VAT. Big difference!
  6. Three tyres for sale...1 brand new, 2 slight wear (2000 miles on front).....offers please.
  7. Tonneau should fit FIA de dion as that's what my car is and the price is £50. Tillets? no idea what they are so pardon my ignorance! ZV1's...offers please.
  8. I've got two part worn and one brand new avon zv1 for sale (185 60 14) Also brand new tonneau cover with fixing kit....not even out of wrapper! Offers please
  9. Can anyone recommend a good tyre for a 14" wheel...something along the lines of an ACB10....which I believe only comes for the 13" & 15"
  10. Thanks for your humerous reply Brent....not! Show me a driver on a track day who doesn't have a lead foot and I'll show you a liar! Has anyone ever had a response from caterham about this....lead feet aside....I did have the supersport upgrade done by nobles and not by caterham but this is only a cam change and a new ecu...it's hard to see where all the extra petrol goes on what's supposed to be the same basic engine!
  11. I have a 1.6 supersport with an EU3 engine and recently did a trackday at Donnington with a friend who has a 1.6 superlight a couple of years older. We did about the same number of laps and runs during the day but I used a whole tank of petrol more!!! Have had a test done at John Nobles on the Dyno and they can't find anything wrong...anyone got any ideas?
  12. This is probably not that technical but is bl__dy annoying....what is it about the clocks in a 7 that makes them steam up...or is it just mine!! Kept in a dry, heated(sad I know) garage...used regularly now the sun has come and every time out the glass mists up then disappears after 20 minutes or so. It's even starting to leave a mark now! Any solutions!
  13. that sounds about right...the six speed box is supposed to add about half a second to a normal k series 0-60...or so they say!!! the price of the 6 speed with the kit was £1600...the upgrade to a six speed is a shed load more...about £2600. the supersport enging is always £1000 in the kit or the upgrade. I've got it booked in anyway! should be a good fun investment!
  14. after an initial panic.....(the upgrade from caterham has been discontinued) I rang caterham and it's only been discontinued for the EU2 engine...EU3 engine upgrades are still available...and fitted FOC by caterham!
  15. Thanks for all the info...and offers!! Mine is an EU3 and I suppose it comes down to how far I want to go! the oily suggestion does seem a good option for extra BHP. The cautious side of me says stick to the caterham option for resale value...then it's not my intenstion to sell in the near future. I'm also getting some suggestions from John Noble Motorsport as they are just down the road from me and have been excellent with any problems I've had so far. I'll see what comes from there?! Anyone have an opinion on DIY verses professional upgrade. It's an easy mod but again the history of a car can be important down the line both on insurance and resale. A
