    Oil

Bought car recently (Roadsport 1800 K series) and not sure what type of oil to top up with, can't find out what is already in it Advice please
  2. Quoting Burwell7man: Hi there, I faced the exact problem, so i removed the outside seat runner and filed out the rectangular section from the steel runner to allow the locating peg to fit into it. This allow the seat to lock another 2 inches further forward. Please let me know if you need further explanation and I will talk you through it... Nice one, I'll have a look at that suggestion, thank you
  3. Quoting Richard Price: Quoting Stationary M25 Traveller: If this isn't enough, unbolt the seat runners from the floor, and redrill the holes in the floor further forward. Simples ! Just make sure you can still slide seat far enough back for you !!! SM25T, It's not as simple as that on an S3. With the seat fully forward it will already be touching the crossmember across the floor. Master Thatcher, are you able to be a t the Wybunbury meeting this Wednesday? If so, we'll be able to look at the options with you Great! that may be a solution, see you there! Any other member suggestions welcome though!
  4. Pedals adjusted already, I have looked at moving runners forward, but I feel my driving position will be compromised I just need a couple of inches further forward!
  5. Quoting Stationary M25 Traveller: Have you moved the pedals rearwards to the position closest to the seat ? Remove the cover of the pedal box (under the bonnet), and by removing the pivot bolt, relocate them backwards. The throttle is on a separate pivot. Pedals can also be adjusted a little on cable adjustments to line them up. edit. If this isn't enough, unbolt the seat runners from the floor, and redrill the holes in the floor further forward. Simples ! Just make sure you can still slide seat far enough back for you !!! Edited by - Stationary M25 Traveller on 7 Aug 2012 09:03:19
  6. Help Please, - My darling wife has decided she wants to drive my prize possession, 150 Roadsport with standard leather seats, However her little short legs do not reach the pedals by 2" or so! what options do I have to sort this problem out? Can I obtain a set of longer runners? Telling her it can't be done is not an option!!
  7. Quoting Jonathan Kay: Thanks. So the tube of Sikaflex stayed intact and held it on loosely after the adhesion failure? Jonathan Looks that way, the area on the fender looks completly clean as it's just not adhered to it properly
  8. Quoting Jonathan Kay: Thanks. If it's Sikaflex wrapped all around the stay which bit failed? Did the tube of Sikaflex rupture? Jonathan Looks like the sika failed where it was epoxyed onto the fender, couldbe that the surface was'nt clean or not scored for a good bond, Think I might rivet them on, as I have a friend who assures me using a complex of gromets and fasteners he can do a great job without causing any spyder cracks or chips, he works for Bentley Motors down the road!
  9. Quoting Jonathan Kay: Quoting Master Thatcher: Why oh why are these just stuck on?? Nearside one came loose today off front spa, and it just had to flap till I got home!! Slightly embarrassing driving at 25mph What's the remedy please stick or bolt?. Could you tell us a bit more? Who stuck these on, and with what? Was the goo wrapped around the stay? Yes looks like Sikaflex, - swine to get off!! previous owner stuck them on I presume, other one is on really well!! Jonathan Edited by - Master Thatcher on 23 Jul 2012 12:14:09
