  1. Hi there everyone, Many thanks for the feedback and thanks to all your help the drive shafts are now removed - but now I have another problem /question. It would appear that the machined 4 holed flange on one end of the axle casing is bent / twisted on what appears to be the corrigated end of the axle casing . Does anyone know how the flange is attached to the axle casing - brazed ? and more importantly how to get it off and replace it with a new one. Living in Montreal, Canada, Haynes manuals for a Morris Marina / Ital axle are hard to come by (not to mention that Caterham 7's are incredibly rare) but I am working on it, but time is a wasting and I want to try and have the car back on the road ASAP so as not to waste a second of perfect seven weather. Does anyone have a copy of the appropriate pages from a Haynes manual that they could fax to me in the mean time? Many thanks Sundance.
  2. I am currently trying to strip the back axle (Ital) from my 1985 Caterham Super 7 and am having difficulties removing the drive shafts / half shafts. I have removed the back axle from the car and despite applying lots of heat to the bearing housings, where I am assuming the fit of the bearing in the housing holds the drive shaft in place , they won't budge. I am assuming I just have bearings which are a very tight fit or am I missing something - any help, tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks. Sundance David R. Price
