  1. Its all about time and money?

double headers reduce travel cost so helps, but quality of venue sound be considered. I would travel 500 miles to go to Wiscombe but would not get out of bed for Antrie.

going back to my 1st post if the championship was just at 7 events I think we would get, 7 amazing competition. I do think it needs to be both hills and circuits.

I ask that you keep reviewing the championship and remember we need to get more to do it. sometimes less is more.

just to add: if you want to be comparative then you have to do the invited day as well as the championship event . if cost is one of the factors this may put members off these events? you will have the data to see if this is the case. do members do both days at Gurston but not do 7 counting rounds?

  2. I am not sure what has been planned for 2024, but have for some years felt there are too many events or too many events you have to do.

If there we 5 counting events then I would come back to the championship. In reality means I need to do 7 events to have a go at coming anywhere, but could do less if money was tight.

We all know life and spending money for fun is an extra. If numbers have dropped off while cost of living has increased, reducing the number to count would have cut costs and may have allowed some to join in with this club event.

Yes we can still do the club events without the championship, but the cost for 2 events just does not add up for me.

I am sure I will not be the only club member to feel this way.

If its an all inclusive club as I hope the club is, and its s only a discussion should it not be to all members. If we are a club that has a club within the club then i guess its fine.

  4. Very disappointing to here that there are discussion going on about tyres for next year and behind closed doors. We are a club and it should be about inclusiveness.

Class 3 is   list 1b, it's not a gentleman's agreement, to only have one tyre make. Next year I will either use my Avons or if there is no life left in them some other tyre. Let's make it an inclusive sport not one that discusses things in dark rooms, with the potential to exclude club members.

  5. It looks as if Avon will be no more.

would like to inform you that Cooper Tires Europe will enter a consultation period on a proposal to close the tire production site in Melksham, UK, and gradually phase out all Melksham-based operations, including the Cooper and Avon Motorsport program, by the end of 2023. The proposal is subject to consultation with relevant employee representative bodies. We are determined to act responsibly and fairly, and to provide appropriate support for everyone affected.”
