  1. As a matter of fact is is only when idling, revving seemed to clear it so seems like a blockage that comes and goes..... Last night changed needle valves, gaskets etc and checked float level @ 12mm. on both. One carb was slightly out - too big a gap. Noticed that the car started this morning with less time waiting for pump to prime and started first crank .... Ran well today although it slowed and stalled after idling ( warm engine) and ran rough at restart. It cleared after slight reving and then I reset the idle slightly faster and all seems Ok.
  2. Hi Thanks for reply. Have taken tops of carbs off tonight. The needle valves look past their best.... Any settings on float height as my webber manual only shows brass floats. Mine are plastic and the settings are massively different . Possibly 12 to 13 closed and 32.5 open ? Regards Chris T
  3. Hi, My first post - for advice ? I have brought the car out from its winter rest and had a problem with the car stalling and not resatarting after a fast Blat and some keen roundabout navigating ! Eventually re-started ( 2-3 hours) and once home changed plugs and balanced carbs. Went to Dunsfold at the weekend ( Great day out again, thanks !) car drove there well but on slalom ( couple of times at the finish) it dropped onto 2(?) cylinders and after idling and gently bliping the throttle it ran OK. It worked really well on 0-60 and the circuit... Today after driving to work it dropped onto 2 and then idled etc and then cleared ( almost like a switch was turned on. Any ideas ???
