  1. Thanks for the insight all. Makes sense that an ecu remap (as I used to have in my imprezas) would be needed. John
  2. Hi All, Is there any advantage in using v-power/momentum in my sigma engined 1.6 2009 caterham? Particularly interested if it makes any difference on track. Thanks
  3. Thanks Looks like the camera. Looking around, replacements seem to be thin on the ground. I'll see if racelogic can point me in the right direction. Many thanks, John
  4. Thanks, this was a sensible suggestion. I swapped them over and the rear facing camera is still fragmenting but in the big picture. Looks like a problem with the camera. John
  5. Evening all, The rear facing camera on my vbox lite is showing a rather odd picture (box bottom left). Can anyone tell me if it is a problem with the camera or the vbox itself? Thanks as ever, John
  6. The £150 for the pair is without the electroplated finish. Car is only for track so not too concerned about the finish (gold would look nice though). Th ebig downside is 15 day turnaround. I'll check on the Rimmer calipers to see if they are original. Thanks, John
  7. Forgive my lack of knowledge, Just having a look around, the prices here seem competitive (£54.60 exchange) compared to the refurb quote I received from Bigg Red of £75. Are there any thoughts about quality from any of the suppliers? Thanks, John
  8. Thanks all, The advice is much appreciated. I'll let you know how I get on. J
  9. Thanks all, Caliper is already off so will put back on and push piston out with brake. I'll give the rebuild a go, appreciate the messages and advice.
  10. Thanks Gridgway, Without a compressor, would the best way to get the pistons out be to put the hose back on and press it out using the pedal?
  11. Evening all, thought I would try and replace my front brake pads and found myself with some bother. I couldn't get one of the pistons to go back in and upon removal of the caliper, I can see that the piston is rusty. Can I send this off for refurbishment or is it better to buy a new one? In either case, where should I try? I've read about the caliper refurb kits that can be had from places like Redline etc but I've never done one before and would worry that the condition of the caliper would mean that this might not be successful. Advice appreciated, John
  12. Hi Colin, Many thanks. I'll get in touch. John
  13. Thanks All, I'll have a look at the suggestions. I was beginning to suspect that there may not be one right on my doorstep. Appreciate the replies, John
  14. Morning all, Can anyone recommend a mechanic/specialist near the Croydon/South London area? I've been using PT cars but would prefer somewhere a bit more local for odd jobs. Many thanks, John
  15. Amos, Thank you for the reply. I've been away (from home and all things car related) for a few weeks. I think I've located it, it just looks different to the one that I had ordered (two wires rather than one). I'll get testing and see what happens. Many thanks for your reply. John
