  1. Hi, yes it's in good condition, and no, the CSR has been replaced by a rather nice 993
  2. Hi Rick, I'm in West Wales, if your interested pm me your e mail address and I'll send some photos
  3. Brand new, still in the box, £75.
  4. Still in the bag and never used, cost £389, anybody fancy it for £300?
  5. 2016 (thanks Mick) Used, decent condition, I bought it 12 months ago to store my CSR in, I'll even clean it :) £4000, reduced to £3750
  6. This was used on my CSR, so guess it fits SV too, good condition £75
  7. Chaps any interest? I paid £400 for it (used) 12 months ago, say £350?
  8. I think I've got a set in the garage, I'll have a rummage
  9. I've been contacted too, still have mine, so will forward them to Caterham when they contact me.
  10. Brian, I wouldn't take the risk, mine had a visual inspection a few hundred miles before failure, the potential consequences are not worth risking for a relatively low cost fix
  11. Here is the response from DVSA, has anybody reported the issue to Caterham? If so any chance I could have a copy of the correspondence for my reply?
  12. Thanks John, I've reported my failure to DVSA, could others do the same? It might just prevent a very nasty accident and possibly injury, or worse!
  13. I'm not sure if all cars have the same arrangement, but mine has a pin in the arm rest that should locate into a hole in the bodywork when the door closes, but of course it never seems to align properly, is there a hack for keeping them closed? Thanks G
  14. I think I saw a pair advertised on the Facebook Caterham for sale page.
  15. Difficult to tell from the photos, but I wouldn't rely on a visual to determine whether they are ok, the side that didnt fail on mine had a crack that wasn't obvious, get them changed :)
  16. Similar age but more miles than mine. I wonder how many failures there needs to be before Caterham have to take some action?
  17. Yep, same failure as mine Steve, happy days if you can persuade the council to cover repair costs, what age / miles is your car?
  18. Sam, mine sounds pretty similar, maybe a little more Stuka like! I'll try to get a recording.
  19. Sorry if this has been discussed before, I have tried searching but the function seems a bit limited (unless I'm doing something wrong). My 7 (08 CSR) has a really annoying transmission whine when the throttle is being feathered (disappears with no throttle or when you are starting to push on) I had a chat with Road and Race who had recently rebuilt the diff, their view was that this is caused by the engine being slightly inclined, and they thought that somebody in the past had made some spacers for the gearbox that remedied this. Does anybody have anymore info? Thanks G
  20. Yeah, sorry! I've had a weekend away 'tween then and now :)
  21. Thanks chaps, would the worn saddle have an intermittent effect? I had a chat with R and R transmissions who rebuilt the box for Turn 7 before I bought the car from them, he was convinced the issue was clutch related, I need to get out and try to replicate the problem (apparently the proof of the pudding is if reverse can be selected)
  22. Thanks, I don't think it's clutch related as there wasn't any graunching, it just felt like a physical obstruction preventing engagement, I'll investigate the saddle
