Thanks Mark. I will try them. I knew that 6 runs at a different temperature to 7 but I can't ever remember whether 6 is hotter or colder than 7!

Thanks. I knew the power of BC would come through quickly! The only problem is I can't find NGK BCPR7ES on the Halfords website. I can find NGK BCPR6ES. I will have to find my local motor factors. Unfortunately all the ones near me I knew have closed down and I dont know any near where I work either!

Can anyone tell me which spark plugs that I can get from Halfords I can use in my 1.8 K series? The current ones have very little or no identification on them. Just a number (which I don't have to hand). I am presuming the current ones are the original rover ones.

Green T reg this morning at about 07:30 on the A3 south bound between the Liss roundabout and Petersfield. You passed me. I was in a black Lexus tin top. Another nice day for it!

😬 It has to be raining (and more than a few drops) for me to bother putting any sort of hood on the Seven. Anyway, at least you are in the Seven. My car share wont consider the trip to work in the Seven so I only get to use it when travelling to work on my own.

My girlfriend and her daughter spotted a green and yellow seven in Cheam Village near the Esso garage at about 8.30 this morning. You had the hood on ❗ ❗ 🤔 🤔

Winchester turn on A3? Do you mean the A272 near Petersfield? Was it Viper blue with silver stripe? If so that was probably me and yes you have spotted me before. Daily trip for me from Sutton in South London to Whiteley, Fareham. Usually in the tin top so you wont spot me! (obviously!) The last 2 days I have not been in my car share so I have been able to do 2 days in a row in the Seven. will take my usual evening route home through the country up though West Meon to the A31 near Alton and back towards Guildford before rejoining the A3. What do you drive as I will have to look out for you in the future?

Yep sounds about right! I have been quoted between £600 and £700 but if it needs something major like a new glass that could be more pushing it towards the £1000 mark! ☹️ Apparently mine is now classed as vintage/classic so costs more to service ☹️ I have heard they come back like new. As I said it looks like I will get something else and save to get the service done and then keep it for occasional use.

How much did it cost you to have your Rolex serviced? I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust which has been on my wrist since 1988. I have worn it every day and I havent had anything done to it at all but now it is losing about 30 seconds a day. The quotes I have had for a service are huge! Not something I can justify at the moment. ☹️ Thinking of buying another watch for now until I can afford to have it done and then keep it for occasional use.

That would have been me. Opportunity to take the seven to work today. Bit foggy this morning but looking forward to my cross country trip home from Fareham though Botley, West Meon up to A31 between Alton and Farnham, along to Guildford on the Hogsback and back up to Sotuh London on the A3 😬

Green with yellow stripe registration V373 ??? heading in towards Kingston just after 1pm Sunday. I was heading the other way in the tin top. I would have gone in the Seven but I needed to pick up a carpet cleaner. It's a great day for it! -
Don't fit it if you want to return it ! Yes aware of that, however... If it is not sorted by next weekend I will have to as it it the only way I will be able to get it to Redline. Will an 18AH make that much difference?

Well I got the new battery but... They sent me an NP18-12 not an NP20-12 😔 i.e. an 18AH battery not a 20AH battery. If I had wanted an 18AH I would have ordered one!!! I have contacted the seller but in the meantime should I install this one? I know it should work it just wont be as powerful and not what I ordered. I need to get the car working as it is going for a service and check soon... and in any case I want to drive it! Edited by - Caterham Kid on 13 Apr 2013 18:33:04

Amazing ❗ Just started the car on the jump starter and the voltage across the terminals was 14.4/14.5 so I guess the alternator is alright! So all I need now is a new battery. Oh... And to fit it the right way round! I must have overlooked something. Maybe I will buy that lottery ticket

That's ok. I was only joking. I don't mind being ribbed! I realised your battery solution wouldn't work for me as you said it is mounted where a heater would be. Well... I have a heater because I'm a wuss!
