  1. timbo..............shouldn't you be concentrating on your day job?............. oops...so should I !!
  2. Hi Ned, I sure do.................probably about 75-100, from photos of the car arriving in the back of the Caterham delivery truck through to completion, all printed ready to pass to the next owner!
  3. I should have also said, the car was registered in August 2014, so is a '14 plate. It went to Caterham Midlands for it's post build check ahead of it's registration who were very impressed with our build. It was the first kit to leave the factory, so it's got some kudos. The car drives very well(as you'd expect) and sounds even better! This great little engine gives a real shove in the back with a lovely turbo soundtrack! PS I also own a C7 by choice and sprint my ex Academy car at Loton Park, so I'm not a motor trade imposter to blatchat!
  4. Well done for spotting my deliberate mistake Roger! Top of the podium for you my boy!!
  5. The DVLA in their wisdom have put in on the log book as a 1600, and our feed to autotrader takes its info from DVLA. I am in the process of getting log book updated to reflect the proper engine size. It's definitely a 160.
  6. Caterham Seven 160 for sale. Fastidiously built by a main dealer technician for me as a project. See link on autotrader website:- http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/cars/caterham/postcode/cw16yy/radius/10/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/quicksearch/true Lots of options including Tonneau cover Stainless Steel Rear Arch Protectors Carpeted interior Quick release Momo Steering Wheel Painted & Grill Yellow arches, nose cone, the rest in stunning aluminium. Fully documented and photographic evidence of the build, with all invoices/order forms, magazine articles from late 2013 when the car was launched. Done 20 miles only and ready to drive away and enjoy! Saving on list £18495.
  7. Thank you all for your replies. Im goin to try the kumhos, based on their water dispersion seems to be better?!
  8. I've asked before, but need to ask again. I'm replacing my CR322 tyres on my ex-academy 7. I compete at Loton in Class 2(Roadgoing specialist production cars). I need some better rubber for hillclimbing, occasional sprinting and road use.................what can you recommend? Tyres are 185/70 R13. I would consider an different size as long as it doesn't involve modifying the wings! Thanks
  9. Any idea when Oulton Park track day is this year?.....or any others in North west(Ty Croes, Aintree, Three Sisiters etc etc etc?

    Aeroscreen

I have an off the shelf 2008 academy car, and want to replace the "air brake" windscreen with an aeroscreen. I am favouring the composite kit direct off Caterham. Have any of you got experience of other makes available.............and how easy is the kit to fit?
  11. Nothing that serious at the minute....but got events planned at Loton Park, where I'm a member and a sprint at Ty Croes in September
  12. Brill, thanks ever so much!
  13. Thanks 2GBR, great info............I had heard ZZR's are a bit lively in the damp or wet!....have you used these tyres in those conditions?
  14. Hi All, I have an ex Academy car with the standard Avon tyres on standard 13 inch wheels.I wish to hillclimb and sprint the car in road registered classes, and well as some road use............... What is the best tyre for to put on, and what size? Thanks Chris
