  1. Yeah! That's what I heard. But the I've fabricated all the parts now. I just need this measurement to solder the parts together now. Anyone?
  2. Please, can someone mesure the position of point 2 relative to point1 on their car (center of the front surface of the upper suspension bolt relative to the center of the light bracket mounting hole) so 3 mesurment (front, side, height). I want to make a bracket to fit my imperial chassis with the "new" light position. That would be very appreciated Thanks Picture taken on the net Did not get any response in Facebook. That does not have to be at 1/16in precise 😉 Thanks
  3. Thanks guys! I will try these Best regards
  4. Hi all! Someone know where I can get this plate for the 620r dash style? Some indicators for the 620r style dash are also back order since a long time. I got the ones that are available at car builder, but ( horn, start, mist, whiper, heater, wind shield heater) I cannot find. Thanks

    620r hoops

Hi all, please can anyone give me these mesurments for the 620r style dash hoop. I want to use the backing plate from Caterham but the hoops are back ordered since long. I will 3d print some or buy some aftermarket ones if the dimension fit. I just need the distance between the two holes and the holes diameter. best regards
  6. I will be in traveling from sheffield to london in uk next week and looking for these please. I could probably arrange pickup depending on location. best regards
  7. thanks all for all your replies! It helps a lot! Esslinger is sure very interesting I am not completly decided yet but it sure help! I wish I could be able to test drive one of each engine but it is not possible here. Do not hesitate if you have any other ideas! Best regards

  9. You are right on this. I should add a new ECU on my list for that matter. You think the 2.3 will be more playful? My thought were on the 2.0l for playfulness (with the fact that the engine will have cast piston and con rod thus higher rev limit. Thanks for your comments. :-)
  10. hi john, thanks for sharing your experience. Your build tread is very detailed and informative! Best regards
  11. Hi james, thanks for your answer. I did not know about SBD, very interesting. I would be able to find a tuner for duratec but no caterham specific tuner for sure. thanks
  12. Hi all, I got a s3 caterham with a zetec 2.0 engine (lsd, dedion, 5spd type 9, jenvey 45mm and omex 500 ecu) the easy bolt-on mods are pretty much done. The option of buying a newer caterham and sell this one is pretty much impossible since I live in Canada and they are rare as unicorns here... My first reflex is to move to a Duratec engine as I will also move to a newer generation engine. I've done my research and I think I would prefer a 2.0l rather than a 2.3l and put forged con rods and pistons inside the 2.0l. My goal is somewhere near 250hp. (a pretty high sticker price for 60 more hp, I agree). The exhaust and intake will switch side, I am ready for this. Here are my questions: -I have an opportunity to buy a very very low mileage 2.0 duratec and was wondering if you think I could find a map for my Omex 500, if the omex 500 is good enough vs new generation to be able to tune this setup wihout dyno time as I do not have knowlgeable ressources that I know of here. -I also tought of supercharging the zetec but I find it expensive and complicated for a 20 years old engine. (maybe I am wrong) I've done a few research and I think the project will cost me 7000-8000 pounds. I do not think that buying a complete setup in England is a solution since shipping will be ridiculous. Not an easy question and I know that is has been discussed before, any opinions are welcome. winter is comming and I will have plenty of time to work on the engine :-) Thanks
  13. thanks timb2117, that is very helpfull. ! best regards
  14. Hi all, I am to order some carbon parts from mog composite (westmann) and I am a little confused about the fact that ist is unvarnished. Do I have to varnish it myself? It will not be protected enought if I do not varnish it? Do you have pictures of it. Communications are really good with them but I just want to get more advice from your experience please. Best regards
  15. @aerobod I like! i will most likely come back form my next trip to UK with extra luggages ;-)
  16. @toughie: wow! thanks a lot for taking the time to call Avon for my question. Like I said, I did it already but it was via the generic contact system. (always easier when you have a name) i will try to pospone the shipping as late as I can then. I already have to order some apollo wheels via Caterhamparts.co.uk. I think it make sens to order the tire at the same time and get them installed before shipping. (i might not save a lot of money) Hard to tell... @aerobod: I am getting wheels from caterham at the same time. But yes, the next tires will probably be toyo r888. thanks to all for taking the time to answer my questions. best regards
  17. Hi all, I wrote Avon but did not get a reponse yet. I am in the process of ordering avon zzs tyres and was questioning if the compound can `see` freezing temperature. I would be woried about zzr but I do not know about zzs I want to ship some tyres to Canada and it`s still really cold here so thew tyres would be exposed to low temps (could be around 0F) while transiting for shipping. The race coumpound tyres I use to have where sensibles to low temps. do you have any clue? Best regards.
  18. Thanks for your replies @Richard So it means that if I have the suspension set professionally, I should be able to get back to a ride height close to what I had. Shock and coil assembly are pretty much at their shorter lenght. Best regards
  19. good! Thanks for you post Nigel, I was told that the camber/toe will be affected but I guess adjusting the upper balljoint could correct this easily. Is that you thought too? best regards
  20. Hi Richard, thanks for your answer. My first thought is that I could correct this with the top ball joint on the upper arm ( professionnaly). The chassis is a s3 imperial. Does this means that all 13in wheels users have a lower ride height or there`s been some change in suspension design? best regards
  21. Hi all! I want to switch my 16in HPC wheels mounted on 205/45/16 to 13in Apollo wheels with avon zzs tyres (185front and 215 rear) It will have the negative effect of lowering ride height if the suspension is left as is. My question is : will I be able to re-ajust the ride height (blistein coilover, wide track suspension) without negatively affecting suspension geometry. I cannot afford to lower the ride height by much. Thanks and best regards
  22. Hi all! First post here! Just registered. Do not want to change subject of the author but It might be a good solution for you too. I am looking to switch from HPC 16in wheels (205/45/16 tires) to 13in apollo. I do not want to lower the ride height. Did anyone run 205/60/13 all around? Toyo offer the r888 in this dimension and it would not lower the ride height. Toyo recommands 6in wheel width for their 205/60/13 tires. Best regards.
