    Re-build costs

I too am in a remarkably similar situation with a '98 1.6 transport, and personal circumstance - i'd be grateful to benefit from your experience on costs. As an extra mine was a cat' D write off in its v early days so if I am going to spend considerable funds on the chassis and body I'd like to rid myself of that badge. Does anyone know if that's possible? B
  2. shiny arch protectors and a baseball cap. I hope the break in the clouds lasted!
  3. Good evening I have a '98 Roadsport still sporting the spare wheel carrier. The car was born with 14" wheels, and those fit nicely on the back - resting on the carrier whilst bolted to the centre of the rear. But I now run 13" wheels which means that the spare isn't supported by the carrier. Is there a standard method of propping the spare wheel in the carrier? I think I've read about using brute force to bend it up, but am loath to drougHt as in due course will make it removable. Thanks for advice Bruce
  4. BTTT in time for a sunny Easter break. Worn tyres spare wheel set and bar still available!
  5. Rob Sorry - she'd now sold. Thanks for the reminder - ad' updated. Cheers Bruce

    4 x Dolly

having now filled my newly built garage I need to be able to move the 7 around into tight spaces. Therefore 2 pairs of dollies please, if anyone is looking to get rid, or can point me in the right direction for some well proven ones. Thanks in advance Bruce
  7. Shed, CR500's, Atek wheels and roll cage still for sale. Offers?!
  8. Arno - First dibs to you on exhaust, and Pm to you.
  9. DJG - First dibs to you and PM ref Minilites
  10. Minilites - 90% sure they are R13's. Will check later today. Anyone would, be wrong to, think I was on the bottle last night!
  11. schoolboy omission! 2.8 x 3.8m. Doors are 1.22m wide. Enough head room to stand up straight inside at 6'
  12. After months of building my man came / home for Betty I now have to fill it for junk so we can get rid of the shed in the garden. So, move the junk, and then sell all my 7 spares. there's logic somewhere! All these are off a '98 standard 1.6 K. SOLD 5 x "minilite" wheels (black centres, silver rims) and rubber. Great for a spare set for the track. The rubber is far from new (Monza HR7) so great fun for an airfield day I'd imagine. The wheels were refurbished 4 years ago and have done <10 (MOT) miles. BUT, they do have some bubbles. £150.00 5 x Avon CR500: 3 x 175/55/R13 + 2 x 205/55/R13. Varying levels of tread left ranging from below limit to 4mm. Track day use. £50.00 4 x "ATEK" 5 spoke wheels & Monza rubber. 195/60 R14. These came with the car, and look pretty good as an alternative. Scuffed, but have a good thick tough lacquer / coating so the metal is untouched, I think, from memory. £100.00 Roll cage/bar (NOT FIA) off Roadsport. Mid blue. Scuffed and well loved. £80.00 Exhaust - Standard one (came with car from Caterham build) incl guard and 4 into 1 collectors. Missing clamps and seals. £190.00 and finally ...... The Shed NOW SOLD metal, Cotswold Green, double doors, 2 x "skylights", polystyrene insulation - keeps the condensation at bay. Good condition. Includes PIR sensor and 2 x halogen lights. £140.00 2.8 x 3.8m. Doors are 1.22m wide. I'm in Glos - 2 miles from Millwood. Ideally collection in evenings, w/ends or working hours by appointment. HOWEVER, I'm heading to Ely on Wednesday so could deliver (not the shed!) via M42, or M25/M4 routes. Shed - It will stay up until someone comes to take it away and then I'll provide manpower and beverage of choice (hot or soft!). Funds needed for a re-skin. Suitable replacement parts also considered in exchange - this is 7ing on a (meagre) budget! Thanks for looking, very many thanks for buying! PS - 2 x prams also available - 1 x "travel system". 1 x double - proper one behind the other, not one of the ones where the 1st born gets to drag his / her bum on the floor whilst pressing nose into the nappy of the darling second born lording it in front! Single wheel at front doesn't swivel, but that's probably due to my lack of engineering prowess (interest). Offers. INTEREST? OFFERS?!?! build manual

S3 1998 K Series De Dion imperial. Now I have the garage finished (so long as floor painting goes ok today!) it's time to start giving Her Ladyship some TLC. Does anyone nave the appropriate build manual they no longer need - paper or PDF? Thanks in advance. Bruce
  19. Someone very kindly left a note on my (filthy) windscreen when I was parked in Thornbury in November. Please don't think me rude - I lost the note. Or I might just have been embarressed at the state of my stead! Having taken the cover off to find the neighbour's bleedin cat had made it home for a good few weeks (and it just HAD to be the white one!) and then driven down the lanes AFTER the spell of glorious weather. This NY's resolution is to get out in it more - shouldn't be hard compared to last year, although Cadwell Park was indeed a lot of fun.
  20. Does anyone have a plastic (GRP) aeroscreen and mirrors they would like to pack off to a new home? Or RIF screen and mirrors for similar price (!) A last minute booking to Cadwell Park next Tuesday has made best intentions worthless. I'll be at Millwood on Sunday, or 2 miles down the road at any other time, if anyone is looking to offload on the day. Many thanks Bruce

    EU2 Engine loom

Thanks Alan & Stu I'll let Red Dave stay first in line. First outing of the year is probably a little way off yet, and TAX and MOT (SORN) to be dealt with as well. Stu - Any tips / plans / costs for making a new loom? Time probably precludes - new bathroom apparently takes prefferance! Cheers Bruce
