Liek wise, thanks for taking the time to post that - great guide, and probably should be posted sticky to the main site.

Are there any guides on changing the oil on an R400D with dry sump?
Any help/advice welcomed

I had the 48rs on medium compound, should have gone for soft, as never got close to wearing out the mediums after 10+ trackdays

The problem seems to get worse when the car is hot. Not sure if that is helpful?

Got the new R400 about a month ago, and it was always a bit notchy going from 5th to 4th (6 speed box).
Did a trackday at donington yesterday, and towards the end of the day it got very hard to select 4th.First thought is to check the clutch pedal stop isn't too high.
Any other thoughts or tips?

I have new R400, one of the last made I imagine.
I'm trying to move the throttle pedal to the furthest back position to aid heel and toe, however I can't see how I can shorten the throttle cable to take up the slack. I ahve roller barrels and can't see another position for the cable.
Am I missing something silly?

Just had my new R400 a week now, but there was no manual with the car as they are out of stock. Does anyone have a link to that as a pdf or similar?

Ordered some. Nice idea to stick to the bonnet too. Thanks folks for the help

Just got my new R400, and previous car had a foam strim, similar to what is on the nose cone, all around the engine bay to sit between the bonnet and the car. New car doesn't have this. Would it be wise to get some installed?

Just a point, if you are planning to go on track days, and use the carbon airbox to reduce the noise, then the carbon box is bigger than the foam filter...

I once had a leak on the sump gasket after replaceing the foam. I'd cut it slighly too large, and it was trapped against the gasket causing it not to seal. Just something to watch out for

Thanks for the info and advice Geoff - I'm near Rugby, so its out of my way.

It's factory built, though I've ordered it through Jon at Millwoods.
Just a point, Geoff, when you say 1000 miles to settle in, do you mean before you get the flat flooring done, or after?
I'm not expecting things to be perfect from the factory due to the variables of how the car is used, weight of driver(don't ask), etc.
Appreciate the advice here, and good that it is directly answering my questions, without too much extra fluff and conjecture that so often comes on forums.

My new R400 arrives next month.
Does anyone have experience of the suspension set up straight from the factory.
I'll be touring, and 3-4 track days a year.

The car with the venom lights is my old car, which I just sold.
Anthony H, are you able to send me the big pictures you have as those are really good?
2 main things I liked are the LED DLRS, really good safety feature for me, and the fact that they are so low, and imoprove visibility.
I did remove them prior to selling the car, and may put them on my new r400 which should arrive before the end of march.

I've had my car for 5 years now (1.6K supersport), and will selling the car next week. New R400, with RTB upgrade, on order to arrive in April.
I also posted approx 3 years ago that I would be sticking with the foam baffle, and replacing it as appropriate.
So for information:
5 Years, approx 15k miles, 10 trackdays
Replaced it twice. No problems of any kind.
I had incredibly negative comments last time I posted on this, and have not posted since on blatchat, howvever, I felt now is the time to close the loop. I hope the negativity isn't repeated - I'm simply giving information.

I used RBF 600 last year, then when widetrack fitted they put standard dot 4 in. Pedal definitely felt more positive with RBF600
Anyhow have a TD at Sivlerstone on Sunday, so will see how it gets on. Most likely back to the RBF600 after that

I was given some advice lately to turn the engine over without firing it, to avoid oil starvation.
Does anyone know how todo this?
