  1. Good Luck with your purchase. I went to GP but got a better car privately through Blatchat. Amazingly the chassis numbers were only 50 apart.

Whilst I didn't buy from GP, I felt that they were genuinely inteterested in the outcome. If I ever change, they will be on my list to visit.

I also looked at Sevens & Classics at Brands Hatch

  2. If anyone is interested I have magazines from the January 2021 issue up to October 2022.

If anyone wants them they are available to collect from CM11.

If you want them sent, I will investigate cost.

  3. The problem with Rivnuts is that they can spin when trying to remove n the future.

My rear wings are fixed with these, as the picture. Unfortunately, I don't know what they are. I have tried various searches on the web but can't find them. So if anyone knowsBetterthanRivnuts.thumb.jpg.2fdb5ece5e783fb81eea362ac75d4990.jpg what they are I would appreciate it.

  4. Thanks all for the info guys.

I now need to find a higher ratio diff. I think I read in the build manual, or somewhere similar, that they do 3 different ratios, being

    4.125

    3.99

    3.77

    Or there abouts

  5. Hi Guys

Thanks for the info. I have now checked and get 16 turns of the wheel to 33 turns of the prop.

    I make that 1.03.

It was originally a race care so I wouldn't be surprised to have a lower ratio diff. But 1.03 doesn't sound right to me. I did look up some blurb donkeys ago and thought the lowest Ital diff was 3.77.

The question is, have I made a schoolboy error? Or is it correct. As a matter of interest I can easily accelerate from 35mph in 5th gear. Another reason I thought I hade a low ration diff.

Any thoughts, or polite abuse if I have made a stupid error, would be appreciated.

  6. I have read at various times about drilling a hole in the thermostat to aid filling.

My only question is what size? I assume no more than 2mm, but would like advise.

This would certainly help me as my cross-flow only takes about 4.5litres on initial fill and many top ups therefter to get to the stated capacity.

  7. Can I check the diff ratio without removing the diff.

I assume I can when in the air by counting wheel turns against prop turns, but all I have found is how to do it with the diff removed.

I'm interested as the speedo against Google maps suggests the speedo is about 10% out.
