I do not have a VHPD silencer but I do have a decent used unit removed from my HPC that may work. At least it is on the correct side of the vehicle. It has 63mm inlet. It has been cut about 30-40mm from the inlet side of the silencer so would need a slip fit or welding. I believe the silencer itself is 6" diameter and 660mm long. Let me know if interested and I can send pics.

I'm pulling my Quaife heavy duty Ford Type-9 gearbox out of my Caterham HPC next week. The exiting box is good working condition, just replacing to get new ratios. Straight cut gears. This box has also been modified and fitted with a drain plug for easy fluid changes. Box and shift tube only. No bell housing or gear lever. Ratios: 1st: 2.04, 2nd: 1.54, 3rd: 1.21, 4th: 1, 5th: .87 Used with a VX engine, 3.92 diff, and 13" wheels. Good ratios for this setup, but should be fine for other motors as well. Tall first is much better for around town driving then the standard Type 9 1st gear ratio of 3.9 or whatever it was. Won't be available for long, so if anyone is interested please let me know quick. Asking 900.

Still no luck, and Caterham are closed, so I have received no responses from them so far. Anyone have a original sales order or spec sheet they could share?

Trying to sell my JPE-engined Caterham HPC despite the current situation. Giving this one last go as I am moving back to the USA soon despite everything going on, so if it does not sell quickly, it will be exported to the USA with me. I am trying to find some specification information for a JPE caterham, preferably a specification sheet, build sheet, or some other materials from Caterham that show how the engine specifically was configured including information like engine type, size, compression, distributor, ignition, fuel injection system, air box/filter, oiling system, alternator, water pump, etc. I have a kit build HPC originally built with an engine out of a JPE. I have to move back to the USA and was hoping to sell the car before leaving, but due to COVID, that is not exactly an option. It looks like I will be taking the car with me, but need this information to prove that the engine is in its "original" configuration to get it into the USA. Any help is appreciated.

Andrew, I have the Type 9 with s/c gearset in my HPC that was original from 1994, as my car is about 240 hp and needs the s/c gears so I dont destroy the box every time I tough the go pedal. I personally hate the s/c gearset though and have been looking at replacement options like Tracsport or Quiafe. If you are desperate for an original box with s/c gears let me know, cause this exactly that. Also it has been modified in the past with a fluid drain port to make fluid changes easier.. I have been thinking about selling my box and getting a good one to rebuild with high strength semi-helica gears anywaysl. Maybe we could work out some kind of swap.

Andrew, Extremely sorry to hear about the car. We never did get a chance to meet up earlier this year. How much are you looking to pay for another HPC? Mine is spec'd almost the same as yours, and although I don't really want to, I may consider moving on for the right price. I do have other projects to fund.
