I've abandoned my idea of camping and am staying at the Black Horse Inn before the Cadwell trackday.

Does anyone staying there or nearby want to meet up for something to eat on Wednesday evening? Happy to arrange a table at the pub- the food looks reasonable.

Thank you for your replies. Fortunately on Sunday I took it out and it ran like a dream. I'm hoping it was some dodgy fuel or air in the fuel line as a result of running it a bit low at Castle Combe. Fingers crossed...

Its a 2019 car and never had any engine issues before.

I was out last night for about 30 minutes and once the engine was properly warmed up I started accelerating harder. Suddenly at about 5-6,000 revs the engine started half cutting out / misfiring/ losing power and the tachometer was all over the place- up to 9,000 and then down to 2,000 even though the engine was probably only running at about 3-3,500. I slowed down to 30 and it recovered but then did the same when I accelerated hard to about 60 again.

Any ideas what the problem might be. Last time out was at Castle Combe with the L7trackday where I drove it to the rev limiter and it didn't miss a beat all day?

Might it be a lamda, TPS or MAP sensor problem?

A big thank you to all the organisers too from me. An excellent day, with really good driving standards. It was good to meet some other 7 enthusiasts and I enjoyed several sessions taking turns to lead with Mark and Simon in their K-Series cars.

You could try Matt Blyth Motorsport, near Hartley Witney - probably the closest to you and excellent. They really know what they are doing, and are really nice guys too.

I will have a virtually new 8% steering rack from my 2019 Academy Car for sale in about a week's time. After a bump at Silverstone in August 2019 the old rack was replaced - since then the brand new rack has done 2x15 minute races and 1 test day (4x20 minutes). I am upgrading it to the quick rack.

Let me know if your refurbishment doesn't achieve the result that you want, and are still after a replacement rack.

I've previously had trackday cover included with my road insurance, but am conscious that a crunch will count as an accident for my normal road insurance on my daily car.

What trackday only insurance do people use- I'd rather avoid having to organise insurance for each trackday and was hoping to arrange cover for 5/6 days as a package?

Those look very smart. Are they positioned using cable ties? If so, are they deemed sufficiently secure for racing?

After my success in sourcing a LHS aeroscreen, I wondered if anyone has some mirror clamps for a roll cage (left and right hand sides) lying around in their garage that they no longer need?

I'm removing my windscreen on my racecar to upgrade to the 270r series and am looking for a LHS perspex aeroscreen to use for passenger rides between races. Does anyone have a second hand one languishing in the garage somewhere?

I've recently taken delivery of an Academy kit and I'm planning on installing the engine this weekend. The person I was going to borrow an engine hoist from has let me down. I was wondering if anyone in the Winchester/Southampton area might have an engine hoist that I could borrow in exchange for wine/beer etc.?
