  1. Heading from Kirkbymoorside towards Hutton le Hole at 8.45 on Saturday (24th) morning. I was in the white Supersport heading in the opposite direction.
  2. You guessed it, no mechanical issues just too much fun to be had locally.
  3. That will have been me. I live in Whitby and on Sunday evening I will have had the same old problem of not been able to find reverse to back the car into the garage and instead going on a quick blast out follow by a potter through town to see how busy it was. I had been out Sunday morning via Castleton, Malton, Fridaythorpe and Scarborough, with the wife driving and then a quick run out round Goathland in the afternoon. Today I was over Blakey Ridge (in thick fog!) then Helmsley, Stokesley, Kildale and Sandsend. Back home for breakfast at 9 o'clock. No point trying to go far round here on a Bank Holiday after 10 o'clock.

    Helmsley

I checked the weather forecast and went for my usual run over Blakey, then back via Helmsley, Stokesley on Saturday morning instead. Had a great run over Blakey the previous Sunday with a 488 for company.
  5. I don’t currently have the original roll bar on the car, but the best way to compare the two is via the below link to the SBFS roll bar classification page. It looks to me that there is a significant difference in the shape between the H1 And H2. I hope this helps. https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/caterham-classifications-12-w.asp
  6. Both came off my S3 which had a H2 type rollbar. The half hood is from Caterham, so I assume it will have been manufactured by Oxted. The dimension from the seam which goes above the rollbar to the seam above the windscreen is approximately 830mm. But looking at the difference between an H1 and H2 I think the issue would more likely to be the actual shape of the bar as to hood is quite fitted. The Shower cap is from SBFS but again to suit an H2 bar. It will still fit with my new bar and I’m sure it will fit most but with it not being an exact fit I would have my concerns if it was windy. Hence why I’m changing it. Hope this helps.
  7. Both still available. PM me if you would like any more details.
  8. With the intention to do a couple of club track days this year I have upgraded from the standard roll bar to a track day bar. As a result I now have a half hood and shower cap for a metric S3 which no longer fit correctly. The half hood is vinyl and has a Caterham tag on the side so I assume it to be made by Oxted. It was not new when I got it with the car two years ago but I have only used it twice and is in good condition. £150 The shower cap I bought new less than 2 years ago from Softbits and have used it only 3 or 4 times so is still in excellent condition. It is the new design as advertised on the Softbits site with silver on the reverse side and allows for parking tickets to be displayed. £60. I have been that pleased with both that I will be purchasing exactly the same of each to fit my new FIA bar.
  9. Spotted by my wife going over the new bridge then heading for the town centre at 7.45 this morning.
  10. Spotted again! I can’t go anywhere. Had a quick run out this afternoon trying to avoid the tourists in Whitby. Whitby - Ruswarp - Sleights - Grosmont - Egton Bridge - Rosedale - Blakey Ridge - Hutton le Hole - Blakey Ridge agian - Castleton - Lingdale - Castleton - Danby - Lealholm - Whitby.
  11. You lot must be keen! The roads weren’t looking very good yesterday judging by the photos on North East weather forecast last night. We had snow on the North Yorkshire Moors yesterday and I know there was also snow in Barney but the forecast is better for the weekend. Hope you have a great time, but I think I’ll sit this one out.
  12. Thanks Paul I’ve just worked out how to view the link. It’s probably the most exciting thing to happen in Sleights since Le Tour de Yorkshire passed through. Just waiting to see if we made Fridays Whitby Gazette now.
  13. Thanks very much to all those who attended today and made me feel so welcome on my first blat with other 7’s. It was great to meet you all and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
  14. Weather permitting, I’m certainly hoping to make this one. It will be an excellent opportunity for my first run out with others, on roads that I’m familiar with. It will also be my first chance to meet up with some of the North East members, as I’ve not yet managed to make a North East meeting.
