  1. Hi all , I have bought this SV GT seat from Jack and I know this has been asked before But just to check before I spend a small fortune with Oxted is there another one lurking out there somewhere that someone is willing to part with at a sensible price? Allan
  2. The joy at fixing an over cooling issue on my SV VVC was short lived yesterday when my other half reversed over my bonnet just as I had finished. The fact that it was nowhere near where she would normally reverse and is a 5ft X 4ft piece of bright orange metal but it was still apparently my fault I have hammered it back into a shape to make it driveable but it will need a new one and a paint which is always hard to match as it is a pearl metallic. Looking for a silver lining in this, does anyone know of a SV carbon bonnet manufacturer, I know ultimate carbon have a Mould for a S3 but not a SV?
  3. I have an un-modded 1.8 VVC 165 K series which i which is barely registering any water temperature on the gauge when driving normally in these cooler/cold months. It does when left to tick over for a long time eventually hit over 80. I have recently had silicone hoses fitted so airlocks are probably not the issue, it did this before and still does it after. I do get some heat out of my heater but pretty much only when i stop and the car heats up. I thought that this was just normal cold weather behaviour until I discussed this at a meet last night so I am now after some ideas to fix. Is it the thermostat? if so which one do I buy 74, 82, 88? or do i just do the QED mod if that is the right route again which temp? Or is it something else? Any advice appreciated thanks Allan
  4. I took part in the intro to sprinting and now want to do a few sprints next year. I have a 2006 SV (imperial ?) fitted with a FIA (caged) roll bar. The question I have is what petty strut do I need? I assume there are different lengths Metric/imperial S3/SV. I had issues with my half hood dimensions am I going to have the same with the strut. Thanks in advance Allan
  5. I have a roadsport sv and I am looking to upgrade the mirrors I need to be able to look behind when on the road and when reversing in and out of my long drive/alley. Best options I have seen so far are there are the Demon-tweeks Pit kings fitted to the screen uprights but the compromise is you loose the ability to open the doors fully. Then there were the SPAs mounted on the brackets that member Eccles made which would have been great but he does not seem to be making these any more. Any suggestions including how to mount TIA Allan
