  1. I had a similar issue with my lights. The MOT tester failed the car because the hazards would not work with the ignition off. To rectify this, I bridged the sidelight wire and indicator wire with a diode. The hazards now come on with the ignition off - but like you, the DRLs also appear to flash. I've checked the (current) MOT regs and they say the light cannot emit white and amber at the same time. They don't. I've videoed it and you can see that's the case if you advance frame by frame. I've got a copy of the video on my phone in case I need to show it to the tester at the next MOT. Of course, the easier solution is to find a 7 friendly garage who lets you sit in the car and press the buttons for the MOT test. Then, conveniently, have the ignition on when you come to test the front hazards and the problem does not exist!

  8. Hi all I'm looking to sell my Roadsport 140SV. It's currently listed on pistonheads. Here's a link to the advert which contains full details and photos of the car https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/caterham-roadsport-140-sv-3-671-miles/9515758 Please share the link with anyone you know who is looking for a Caterham for the new blatting season Thanks Paul
  9. Thanks. That's what I'm thinking especially given the fact that I have to blip the throttle when coming to a standstill to get the revs to drop to a normal idle speed.
  10. I've just had my sigma engine upgraded from 125bhp to 140bhp and had a lighter flywheel fitted as part of the upgrade. Before the upgrade was done I had plenty of engine braking. But now, the revs drop off slowly (and stop at 1500rpm unless I blip the throttle after which they drop to about 1000rpm) and there is very little engine braking. Has anyone else had this upgrade done and if yes, does your car behave like mine? Thanks
