  1. They do look good in anthracite! And at that price I could be tempted. V7, did you pay extra for the anthracite finish? Also V7, looks like our cars may end up looking similiar - I've chosen Estoril Blue with carbon "wings", but I only have the "track day" rollcage.
  2. I had a look at those Compomotive CXRs earlier - very modern, very sexy. Is that £400 each, or for a set of 4? If anyone else is interested have a look at here.
  3. Kiwi, Let me know how you get on. Cheers, B.
  4. My R400 is in the final stages of build at the factory (yipeeee!) - yesterday I got a phone call from the factory telling me that the R500 Magnesium wheels are now out of production, and that I'd have to make do with the standard 15" wheels. Caterham will be producing some new 13" 8-spoke wheels, but not until next year. Only after putting the phone down did I wonder what they are going to be fitting to any new R500's. Whilst I am sure that there's nothing wrong with the 15's per se, it seems to be the consensus on here that the 13's provide better handling on the track. Anyone have any opinions on what I should do?
  5. Please could someone let me know what the exact Cylinder Capacity (in cc) is for the R400 K-series engine? I need to know for my V55/4. Many Thanks, Barry.
  6. Thanks for all the replies! Another stupid question: who are MB? I assume that they are a Caterham parts supplier. Please could someone post their URL, email address or phone number? Barry.
  7. Hi guys, I am new to the wonderful world of Caterham, and have only just joined this Forum. As the "Search" facility isn't working at the moment, please excuse me if I am asking a question that has been asked many times before. I am currently speccing up an R400 and have a question about the Magnesium Wheels: are they really worth the £725 upgrade price? I realise that they are going to be lighter than the 15" alloys, which will improve the kerb weight, and therefore the power-to-weight ratio. But what other benefits do they bring? Barry.
