  1. Hi, I have a 6 year old 360R with and LSD (BMW I think) and at a recent service was informed that the diff oil was black which indicated the wear in the carbon plates and it should be refurbished - not cheap. The car has only done 8,000 miles and a few track days so it seems strange to me that the LSD should be failing so soon. Any advice whether this is normal and should be done or is maybe over cautious and a bit of up-sell from Caterham South?
  2. Hi Having built my 360R 3 years ago I am thinking now to upgrade the engine. Looking around the Premier Power F225 looks good and I like the idea of the extra induction noise from the throttle bodies but I do 2-3 track days a year and don't want to be black flagged for noise limits. Anyone out there with a similar set up such as 420R with TBs and experience at track days with it? Any info appreciated.
  3. I went ahead a “de cated” my 360R and I am pleased I did, i think it’s a little quicker (might be engine loosening up) but the look is much better and the sound more rewarding with a deeper throaty note. I was a Castle Combe last week a recorded 96dB at the test so easily under 100 and 3 less that the IVA! Conclusion not loader but better sound, or the guy at Combe did not push the me on the revs as much as IVA.
  4. Thanks for all the feedback and ideas everyone, I think we will start with one of the seat options and see if that works, if not then maybe get on to adjusting pedals. Great support from the club members so thanks again.
  5. Hi Built my S3 360R with my teenage son in 2017, now he’s past his test he is keen to have a go himself but he’s shorter than me and as I need the peddles all the way back he struggles to reach. I have standard leather adjustable seats but they don’t travel much/enough. Does anyone know if there’s a way to increase the travel with new runners etc?
  6. Thinking of fitting a Cat Bypass collector to my recently finished 360R. Objective to get a little more power and much better exhaust noise.....bangs....pops etc Anyone have any experience of whether it makes much difference on the Duractec? CC quoting just over £300 for the part - once polished and delivered.
  7. Thanks Chris, I am presenting myself and like you say the PBC should have picked up any issues that Gillingham like to see. I will check the steering rack boot but like you have no idea how reliable the speedo is. Fingers crossed
  8. HI, just finished build and completed PBC. Now need to book IVA. My closest station Yeading is mysterious closed to bookings for H&S reasons so I need to go to Gillingham (next closest) or Southampton. I know Gillingham is where CC go and they have a pretty tough reputation but does anyone have recent experience of Southampton and does anyone know if they insist on the dreadful collapsible steering wheel being fitted at Southampton ??
