  1. Based on Andy's email about garages it seems we all need to try and book a garage at 8pm on 18th September.

There are 20 names on the list Andy sent which means we need 3 garages based on 8 per garage, so we would have a bit more room than normal.

I would suggest a flat cost for all so nobody is disadvantaged if we do get 3 garages, might be simpler. Link is on the confirmation email.

  2. I love my OMP GP8, it was good value and great quality. A quick look online looks like they have been replaced by the GPR model now for £410.
Problem is you need to try to see if you bell head is also an OMP head.

  3. Garage for me too. Hopefully one of us can talk to the organisers to arrange the same set up as last time where we get 3. I will contact them if required, unless it need to be the comp sec to keep it simpler. Don't mind either way.

  4. I'm not sure if I am correctly registered for Prescott, so looking for advice as my options on the website are a bit different from what Andy's email described earlier.

I am registered on the events site, but don't have MSUK Championship registration option. I have Healey Sport or British & Midland Championships. This doesn't give me visibility of the June events we need.
I have been going around in circles on the site but have no other options.

Is this the same for anyone else, as I'm finding it very confusing!

  5. I have entered now, and will have to amend my competition number once this is confirmed.
I have also paid, but no email received, and I know it's the same for Lewis. will have to be patient now and see what happens!

  6. I will be gutted if we missed out on this. I have planned to attend there for the first time this year and have booked a track day....

i have not even seen an email saying it's open

  7. Good idea to get practice Tony, it's quite a tricky track, I have only done one track day there in my old car, but it was an eye opener.

A few of us are going on 12th March for a pre-season track day.  See you at Round 1!

  8. Just do enough to be compliant with the regs then get sprinting.  Before my first season I spent a while pondering upgrades and car changes, but decided to just go with the car I had - I just added new Avons, petty strut (I have one for slightly older cars if you want it) and bought a race suit, helmet and gloves.  Your first few events will see you make big improvements, but it will be nothing to do with the car, it's a great learning process.

I then made changes after my first season when I knew more about what was required, and could then feel the improvement.  It was quite a big change in fairness, I changed the car! But that's not what everyone does.

I have just competed my 4th season, and can't wait to get started again in March.  We are a friendly bunch so there is always plenty of advice and help around.  Hopefully see you there.
