  1. Yeah factory sierra, new build. all went together fine and Derek confirmed the left over pieces were ok it may be fine, just thought I'd ask before passing the point of no return
  2. happy new year all quick question ... I'm just about to do all the liquids pre start up and I've wondered if I've made a hash of the brakes. Reason being is thst all the handbrake is in and sorted but when I pull it up, it correctly pulls the part on the brake caliper round but the brakes don't grab the disc. Does this sound right and all will be fine once the fluid is in? or do I need to trouble shoot ... t
  3. Thanks to all that replied / PM. I've now sourced a crane which I'm picking up tomrorow and I think an extra pair of hands too. I seriously appreciate all the help which I've received so far from this forum.
  4. Well, I've had a bit of a disaster ... Had the nosecone on my shelf whilst working on the car the other day, when a blast of wind came in the garage door, knocked it off the shelf and it fell onto the bonnet and down the side. Luckly, the cone looks in good shape, but it has left a finger sized small dent in the bonnet, and 2 small dings (one size of penny, the other like an eraser). Absolute rookie error and I'm gutted. I'm still in the build phase though, so not going to do anything about fixing it just yet - but will do once it's on the road. Any decent tips on a place in Surrey who will be able to sort it out for a reasonable cost appreciated. I'm also approaching the engine installation stage ... have checked the register but looks like the only local crane available belongs to a departed member, so I Can't send him a message. Would anybody else in Surrey know of a willing lender? IF not, then I'll simply head to a hire place to sort it out. For the installation, I think I Should be ok, but if anybody is around who has done it and fancies helping me out, please do let me know as I'd love to have you around for guidance / assistance. I've not found the build tooooo hard so far ... but naturally a bit nervous about the next stage! Matt.
  5. WEnt there yesterday in what you chaps refer to as the "tin top" to look at furniture with the significant other, and saw about 5 of you as various points out enjoying. A yellow, 2 greens, and 2 reds from memory... Great place for it, and a cracking furniture store.
  6. All the best for your build! Do you have a blog up/running which I can follow? I have done the same as you ... ordered a 270S, and am now eagerly awaiting my 310S ...
