Do these deflectors flap about much i.e do mirrors attached to them actually work? Presumably they just rest against the bodywork at the bottom - is it worth protecting the bodywork if thats the case?
Thanks

Hi
I’ve got Nankangs in the soft compound and prefer them to my old ZV3’s. It isn’t much if a comparison I’m afraid but they seem to work. Yes a bit iffy in standing water but most things are I suspect if you don’t slow down a bit. You can definitely lean on them in the dry with confidence. 150bhp Roadsport by the way.

After my timing belt woes I need the outer timing belt covers, lower and ideally upper.
A) does anyone have some for sale?
B) can anyone confirm the part numbers? I think the upper is LJR104770 and lower LRJ104350 or LJR104350L
1999 EU2 VVC don’t forget :)
many thanks

My bolt fell out last weekend and I'm still not sure how much damage it has caused. I would take the advice!

The bolt fell out leading to everything else.
I also expect there to be damage but thought I’d check just in case. Ever the optimist.
If the head comes off it would be rude not to polish and port it don’t you think?

Thanks both
Sounds like i could at least try plan A and see what happens.

Hello
My crank pulley fell off at Rockingham last week allowing the cam belt to work its way through the cover and eventually fall off. It finally came off at idle after I had driven back to the paddock. I've had the covers off now and I can turn the inlet cam pulley through about 160 degrees by hand as though there is nothing connected to it. Is this normal or have I broken something inside the VVC bit? The exhaust cam turns as I would expect it to.
I was hoping to time it up, pop the belt back on and if it turned ok by hand, do a compression test to see what might have happened inside. I don't fancy doing that yet until I understand this strange pulley behaviour.
thanks in advance

Hi
Can anyone confirm the correct bolts size to go into the main roll bar hoop from underneath (from near the top of the rear damper mount) please? Turns out mine are missing.
1999 imperial S3 - FIA single diagonal roll bar.
Thanks

Does anyone have a set of collars (adjustable spring platforms) to make my standard dampers adjustable for ride height?
Thanks in advance

Spotted in North Kilworth between Lutterworth and Market Harborough Tuesday morning at about 8.30. BTW your OS headlight is broken, showing sidelight only that side.
Sorry I didn't wave but I was driving a Land Rover.

Thanks everyone for the help.
i changed the copper washers in the banjo union tonight and it all appears to be leak free so far. It needed to be pretty tight to stop fuel coming out but seems ok now. I'll keep my eye on it for a while.
thanks again

Hi
Thanks for the post. Did your leak only when the engine is running or all the time? I guess it's a pump off job.
One other thing, does the black plastic round bit that the wire goes into come off or is this part of the pump body that needs sealing (if it's the same problem as yours)
thanks again
