Thanks to Martin Phipps I have discovered that my Seven was originally build at the end of 2004 with Academy specification and the Roadsport B upgrade. First registration was on 01.11.2004. Probably for competition in the season 2005.
Still looking for pictures of the original specification, Academy race cars, with following options:
    - Academy 16 K Series (EU3) with uprated valve caps
    - triple pass radiator
    - full painted in Caterham yellow
    - black pack
    - black-silver KN Minator alloys with Avon CR500 tyres
    - rear ARB
    - plumbed in fire extinguisher

After selling my beloved 1979 LHD Super Seven Twin Cam to the next keeper in the US, I have been very happy with my LHD 1999 Lotus Elise 111S S1, but something was missing ...
So after a lot of looking around, searching and experimenting with the rebuild of a crashed Seven, I ended up with an ex-Academy / Super Graduate car.
This Seven will be a perfect addition to the Elise. The Lotus will stay in road spec and will be used for longer trips, while the Caterham will be the perfect toy to use in spring and summer for short blats or for a couple of track days. Not to forget, they both have a K Series engine, so being of the same family, they will get along together. [Rofl]

For those who also own a Lotus Elise or Exige,
a useful link for high quality German shower caps.

I don' t have shares in this company ... The price / quality is outstanding and they know the word customer focus. In order to match the colour of the cap with the soft top, they sent test pieces of cloth.

After absence of some years and almost in new Seven ownership, I am happy to join the best club again.
For those who know me, the 1999 Elise 111S
,in Motorsport spec stays. The complimentary Seven is coming soon, hopefully.
My former Super Seven Twin Cam is happy and alive in the US, cherished by the next custodian.
