Tried starting the car and the engine would fire, but then the immobiliser kicked in and killed it. Disarmed the immobiliser and tried again with same result a few times. After charging the battery all smmes OK. Just a co-incidence, or is this normal?

Paul, yes it was me going to the Swanley office. For once it was a nice day when I didn't need to take the bike in for getting across London!

Thanks everybody - I'll stop worrying now. My last scare about overheating turned out to be a faulty sensor as well. Maybe I should just cover up all the dials?????

Should I be worried? When the engine is hot the oil pressure reading is between the lowest mark and the red bit (less than 1Bar). Engine is 1.8 K-series 140BHP, 06 reg.

Spotted turning right at Brockley Rise junction with South Circular. Almost made me wish I had braved the traffic in mine!

Ran the car into Caterham today. Replaced fan sensor & replaced water guage sender. All done quick as a flash and made to look so easy I felt embarrased that I couldn't do it myself. Another big thumbs up to Damien in the workshop!!!!

How hot is too hot on the water temp guage? When sitting in traffic my guage gets very close to the 120degree red zone. After reading about K-series engines and head gaskets it is startting to worry me bearing in mind that the car is only 6months old and done just over 2k miles!
