  1. This maybe of use... My battery experience pretty much mirrors Geoff Brown. Last year when needing another I went for a JWM LiFePO4 Battery Kit. As these really don't like parasitic drain nor long trickle charge I also fitted a Master Cut-Off switch (thanks to Jonathan Kay for info etc) job done! Just checked the battery reading 13.4v not been used or charged since October. The engine now turns over much better too. Fitting the switch is tricky however, but worth it, good luck with a fix.
  2. I had a rear done from my 2012 R300 as it was leaking, had a 'full' rebuild & new damper Rod (as it was scored - hence the leak). At the time it wasn't that much less than a new one, but who knows now....? Bilstein were based in Leicester & from memory gave an 'estimate' prior to postage & full quote once seen. Have to say service was very good & would go down this route again.
  3. A vote from me for BG Developments, as when CC were out of stock they were not! David
  4. In reply to #40 & #41 Yes, I've spent over 20 years in the Peugeot world & so was thinking about doing drive shaft nuts & obviously I've not removed a rear one on the 7! As said above #42 the shaft is a splined fit so it just makes different hand threads overkill. That said, I've always found the float test confirms the decision to fit new!
  5. In reply to the hub nut question, if they are of the 'peened' type, swap sides to present a new surface to indent & secure. Or, if in doubt as to suitability follow Geoff Brown's engineering stance & carry out a float test! If it does, use again!
  6. Just be aware that if you mount the light under the top roll bar hoop, it just may be obscured if you have a hood or half hood fitted. Or if mounted too low might be covered by an E bag. I went for a 'Rain Light' mounted on the 'X' & just live with some poor reward vision, but at least it really can be seen!
  7. We have a Starcom system & didn't like the standard yellow head sets, so asked & they were happy to supply grey ones at no extra cost. For us one of the good features is having the unit in the boot out of the way & safe, the system turns on when head set connected.
  8. Hi Daz Try Great British Sports Cars their 'Kit Spares' dept sell donor parts - Sierra Diff/Shafts etc. Just google for contact details, they are based near Newark. David
  9. My dealership use a small place in Heckington Lincs about 10 miles west of Boston. They have done all sorts of wheels for us including one of my 13'' anthracite ones from the seven. John is the guy at WheelCraft, just google them for contact details. David
  10. For the wheels try Compomotive CXR from Simon @ Meteor Motorsport. Good advice as he uses a Seven in competition & great service - my wheels came in a couple of days, the quality looks spot on so much better than the OE ones on my 2012 car!
